Normally when i turn the input selector dial i would get a click noise which i take it is when that input is connected to a source. The other day that stopped happening and i am NOT getting any sound from the tv/sat input when this is selected which is connected to my tv via a optical cable. The optical cable light up on the avr end when pulled out on avr and the tv is on or standby but when pulling out tv end out and avr end is still plugged in the tv end does not light up ,and no sound from my dvd which is connected to the dvd input via white and red RCAs then HDMI out of dvd to tv. and no sound but display on AVR is show what song when airplaying music via my network to AVR. The turner on avr is working ok and my TT that has built in preamp connected to the CD input on avr is also working ok. Just hope not a costly problem.

i live northside brisbane and was a bit upset and annoyed when Todd’s shut their Virginia store. just mean now have to drive to to Tingalpa store in the car i don’t drive very much during the week. bit further to go but that store like only a walk away from where my eldest does some of her martial arts training on the weekend

some new purchases the wife has done. First for us for both of them. My 9 year old daughter has wanted some Elton for awhile because she just loves “I’m still standing” not sure where she has heard it because i don’t play Elton previous to now.

Yes I am in Brisbane and love listening to some jazz on dark rainy days so have had Miles Davis Kind of Blue and then Marvin Gaye on till the eldest daughter wanted to listen to The Greatest Showman OST

Snoopy8 & phil.spr just trying to work out why sub only works on pure direct when streaming. not when using pure direct with other sources. ie when using my TT with built in preamp into CD input. my sub is most probably to close to the wall as well but hard to put any where else

Why Streaming Spotify from a Apple device to my AVR my sub is still pumping out bass even when i using Pure Direct. Ok for some music but not all to have sub pumping because can sound to boomy. My Pure direct works well ie no sub pumping when using other sources. Just new to this so hope this is in the right thread to post this.

went there on saturday to get a replacement stylus as they were the only shop to have the one i wanted on the shelf.even my usual shop didn’t have any on their shelf. i phoned the audio trailer and they were very help full. the staff member who took my inquiry said i could take in my TT so they could check that i have it set up correctly even though i did not purchase the TT from them so very helpful. -
