  1. Yes, I've seen a few examples of that! I actually have some 1" Baltic birch ply left over from another project that I was going to use for this... But I'll need to find the driver and an amp first! Has anyone sourced parts from RK cable who are apparently a distributor for Madisound in AU? I contacted them a while ago but didn't get any reply. Thanks Daniel
  2. Item: Seas L26ROY subwoofer driver and SL26R passive radiator Price Range: Age / condition dependent Item Condition: New or Used Extra Info: Ideally in Sydney Hi all, I'm interested in making a DIY subwoofer based on the Seas L26ROY driver. I know that there are some of these floating around in the community so I thought I'd see if anyone has one to sell. I'd certainly consider an already assembled setup. If anyone has a good lead on local suppliers for these drivers, that would also be helpful. Thanks, Daniel
  3. AFAIK, these are the low end of the Whatmough range but still looks like an interesting prospect? Five Whatmough Opus Series speakers plus SubWoofer and wall brackets $160 in Canberra ACT https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/639110696739582
  4. Item: Paradigm Perfect Bass Kit or Anthem Room Correction ARC1M Price Range: Less than new. Item Condition: New or Used Extra Info: I'm looking for the calibration mic to use with PBK and ARC Genesis with a Paradigm Seismic 110. Prefer local to Sydney.
  5. Thanks -- that confirms my hunch. And great to hear your experience of using it. I'll keep an eye out for a used one. Cheers Daniel
  6. Hi all, I'm considering the purchase of a Paradigm Seismic 110 subwoofer (see my WTB) and was wondering how worthwhile is the Perfect Bass Kit / Anthem Room Correction add on? It looks like PBK itself has been discontinued but the Anthem Room Correction kit and mic ARC1M are the replacement. Either works with current versions of ARC Genesis software. Is it true that this approach is the only way to use the internal DSP for tuning the Seismic 110 beyond the simple physical knobs on the sub itself? I have other calibration mics including a umik-1 which I could you for measurement, but I assume the ARC Genesis software won't do anything without the ARC or PBK mic plugged in. Thanks! Daniel
  7. Item: Paradigm Seismic 110 subwoofer Price Range: around $1000 depending on age / condition Item Condition: New or Used Extra Info: ideally including PBK or ARC. I'm in Sydney so would prefer local but am open to shipping from elsewhere.
  8. Hi all, I've found my way here after finally setting up my gear that had been packed in storage to protect it from small sticky fingers! Of course not everything was working properly so down the rabbit hole of listen, fix or replace I go. I'm currently making some speakers and experimenting with DSP crossovers and it's great to find the community of experience here! Daniel
