  3. I actually ended up purchasing a bargain set of Spendor A5 ($800)...Wonderful speakers, although I'm getting slight distortion at higher volumes (the atom is under powered - I was warned). I'm looking at adding an older NAP200 to resolve the issue. Oh and @Familyguyhifi I'm interested to hear how your 926's work out. Cheers
  4. Thanks for all the replies guys, lots to think about...I appreciate it. I find the focal 706 tend to work very well with clean / sparse music (eg nick cave - ghosteen). Also tend the whack the volume up a bit as they sound a little weak at lower volumes. Seen a few used Electra around, but they are a little out of budget at present. Cheers Alex
  5. Hi guys, Totally clueless here...Naim Atom currently paired with a set of Focal Chorus 706. It's good, but I'm interested in swapping out the speakers with something a bit better. Prefer used with a budget of up to around 2k. I tend to listen to a lot of ambient / experimental stuff / folk / some classical etc... Some used / ex demo that have piqued my interest : Kef LS50 Aria 906 kef q950 kef excite x34 Spendor 6se Buchardt s200 Any advice appreciated. Thank you ! Cheers Alex
