  1. Cheers guys, Yes I think you could be right. I’m a little concerned about the issues of amp/speaker matching. My thinking at present is to play it safe with tried and true equipment and reputable brands. Perhaps in the future I might experiment with tubes but I suspect most of the music I listen to would be most suited to solid state. cheers Dan
  2. Hello all, Long time listener, first time caller. I consider myself an "amateur audiophile", equally interested in music as much as the gear. However, it seems I have been steadily accumulating a collection of equipment over the years so perhaps my self assessment is a little off the mark. Historically I was making do with Q-Acoustics floor standers and centre channel and an SVS PB1200 coupled to a Marantz NR1605 AV receiver. However, recently I have been establishing a 2.0 system again consisitng of another Marantz AV receiver (possibly looking to upgrade if the right opportunity comes along) hooked up to either JBL 4315's or Klipsch Cornwal 3's (my most recent acquisition). Thus far, source material is digital only, mostly Spotify. However, I'm learning more about analog/vinyl and would like to explore this further. Cheers Dan
