  1. Well, thanks again to y'all for your thoughts and ideas. I can see that, much like any other topic that people are passionate about, there are a number of ways to skin this cat. I'm going to give this bi-wiring a crack through a set of Osborn Data Link bi-wired cables (thanks Cappy 63) just to see how skinned my cat turns out. Or if I end up with pieces of cat everywhere, you can't say I wasn't warned. Cheers!
  2. Thanks again Cappy. I've had a look at the Osborn cables and like what I see. I think, as I'm looking to upgrade my cables already, it makes sense to go with the '2 into 4' configuration. Cheers!
  3. Thanks Irek. I didn't realise that they went for single binding posts. I'd like to think it's more than cost saving at this level.
  4. Hi Mike and Francois Thanks both for your information. You've actually answered a couple of questions in there which is great. Another forum member mentioned that they believe the marginal result is from having the two runs of cable, i.e. more 'hose' for the water to flow through. That aligns with your thinking Mike. Cheers!
  5. Item: Dynaudio Emit M20 (Pair) Location: Brisbane, Northside Price: $900 Item Condition: Perfect, As New Reason for selling: Have upgraded Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: This pair of Dynaudio Emit M20's was bought new by me from The Audio Tailor here in Brisbane less than 12 months ago. They are satin black lacquered finish, in perfect condition and have never been abused - less than 100 hours use. I ended up deciding to upgrade after I upgraded my turntable - the wicked cycle of 'what's next' after an upgrade. These speakers have received multiple awards for their price point. Would prefer local pickup but can ship at buyers expense. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  6. Hi folks As a newbie to this forum, I'm keen to learn more about the tweaks that can make incremental improvements to my system. One thing I've always been curious about is bi-wiring and the benefits (and costs) of doing so. I've found a few threads on the forum but nothing recent. So in a nutshell, what are the benefits, what recommendations would you have on cables and what are people's experiences with bi-wiring their setups, good or bad. My current setup is a Project The Classic turntable with Ortofon Black MM, Rotel A14 and PMC Twenty 22's. Thanks for your help. Glenn
  7. Ha, go the B's. I don't run into many hockey fans here in Aus. Good to know we're out there. A good start to the season for the team too.
  8. Cheers Andrew. That Techdas is a work of art, amazing engineering.
  9. G'day Bryce. Welcome. I too am new - your setup sounds pretty damn good. I feel I've been bitten by the bug too, time for some buying and selling! Cheers, Glenn
  10. Hi SteroNet community. I've started my obsessive journey into vinyl for the second time in my life, albeit 30 years between journeys. So far I've been very inspired by the information and people on this forum and have already started upgrading my various components. I'll be adding some gear for sale soon and look forward to talking to many of you. Cheers, Glenn (Brisbane)
