  1. Box opened to take photo, but shrink wrap still in place. Further information: - Length: 50m - Size: 10 AWG - Dimensions: 5.1mm x 11mm - Carriers: 672 x 0.10mm x 2 cores - PVC: Clear With White Trace RRP is $196 Would consider trade for 12 AWG in-wall rated OFC speaker cable. 2. Further information: Pair of wall mount brackets for Monitor Audio MASS Satellite, Radius 45, Radius 90, Bronze 1, BX1 etc. Will also fit many other small bookshelf / satellite speakers with a 1/4" UNC 20TPI thread (common camera tripod thread). Condition is fair as there is some paint on the brackets (just paint them the same colour as your wall - problem solved), the ball shows signs of wear and tear, and the ceiling mount adapter is missing, therefore you cannot ceiling mount the speakers facing forward with these brackets. You can only mount

  4. Further information: Great little 5 1/2" bookshelf or rear speaker - I've got another pair I'm keeping as a second system in the bedroom. Current replacement is Monitor Audio Bronze 50 and has an RRP of $699. Drivers are perfect. A couple of small marks on the cabinet as shown in photos, but not noticeable unless very close. Plastic front edge of cabinet feels a little tacky (not a problem - just full disclosure). If you want to wall / ceiling mount these, please see my other ad for matching speaker brackets. Prefer local pickup, but have origi
  5. I take it these are photos of the PB16 in the new house - looks like there's plenty of room to me ?
  6. Do you have a link for the audio analyser you're using? And how much is it worth? I can't offer advice on how to safely hook it up to a power amp, but I do know if you get it wrong it's probably going to give you some magic smoke. Hope the testing goes well and interested to see results.
  7. That's either a lot of bad luck or some sparky has wired your house to a 400V supply.
  8. Hi All, I'm planning on making two subwoofers for a 60 / 40 HT / music mix. I'm trying to decide if I want to build 2x VBSS style down firing end tables, or a mini Marty and a dual opposed sealed box with 2x 18" PA woofers (or something else you suggest). I only have a 12" sealed sub at the moment, so it's hard to judge if the VBSS will be sufficient for my bass needs, or I'd want the mini Marty as well for the ultra low frequency. Does anyone in Brisbane or surrounding areas have a VBSS, Marty or similar large subs who's willing to demo (for beer or wine)?
  9. +1 for integrated amp with HT Bypass. I did a home demo of a Denon X4200 AVR and was amazed at how rubbish it was for music - it was blown away by my old 50W Denon stereo amp I got for $120 off eBay. Even if you need to do the speakers first, it's worth putting an integrated with HT Bypass on the upgrade list. This will also take some load off the AVR for movies as well.
  10. Try selling it on FB marketplace or Gumtree. I had an old rack I couldn't give away on Stereo.net.au, so advertised it on Marketplace and had 17 people within a day who wanted to pay cash for it.
  11. It was an impressive piece of work and earned a very well deserved PhD.
  12. I know the feeling - trying to get a 5th generation Monitor Audio Silver centre speaker in natural oak to match the mains - very rare over here.
  13. Hi Steve, I've got one, possibly two pairs of Monitor Audio BX1 with wall brackets available and I'm Brisbane based. I did initially use them as Atmos height speakers with my MA Silver 6 fronts (which they matched pretty well) , but in the end went for the Bronze in ceiling speakers instead for a cleaner look. Let me know if you're interested?
