  1. I had one of these years ago, owned from new. Considered the best cassette player available in its day, and my experience with it was that it really was that good! GLWS
  2. Further information: This is a great little desk top amp/dac. I purchased this secondhand a couple of years ago with the intention of trying out headphone hifi. I didn't ever get around to it and only used it recently to check that it was working before listing. It only took five minutes to setup, there was a suitable driver on the Audinst website, so very easy to use. The unit operates from the provided USB lead. A separate power supply can be used if needed (not supplied). Instructions are readily available online Due to current Covid restrictions I am happy to ship. https://www.headfonia.com/audinst-hud-mx1-dac/
  3. I have a Walker CJ55 turntable that I have owned from new, it is fitted with an Alphason tonearm. It is a very good table with some interesting technology for the time. Notably the platter material and the unusual wooden inner frame that it is suspended on. The motor is Swiss made from my recollection, it does not produce a lot of torque, so the platter will need a hand to start spinning. I have purchased belts for mine without a problem, but I see you have been able to locate one. Prior to the Walker I owned a Thorens TD160 MkII, the Walker in my opinion, and that of some audiophile friends at the time, was better. On my Thorens I had a Grace 707 tonearm, it is still the best tracking tonearm that I have owned. Apart from the fact that the Walker is relatively unknown these days, it is amazingly good and deserves a good home.
  4. It looks like 24VAC 85mA is the specification. The AC adaptor that I have for it is 24VAC 350mA Note that it is 24 volt AC not DC. Thanks, Keith

  6. Further information: I have for sale yet another phono amp. This is a quality, English made, Rega Fono Mini A2D. It is a MM phono amp, is well made, very compact and comes complete with power supply and USB cable. As a bonus it will convert your vinyl to digital files, although I have never used that feature. 7. Thank you, I think so too! Having the flexibility to use MM or MC without the expense of another box is helpful.
  8. Further information: This is a nice, solid American made phono amp which can be used with MM/MC cartridges. Here are some details from the net: High performance low noise outboard mm/mc phono section. Rogue Audio preamplifiers are hand made in the USA. They feature exceptional quality in design, sound and finish. The Rogue Audio Stealth phono preamps hold musical truth high with speed and accuracy. Through the use of very high quality parts and skilled design, deep, tight bass and crisp, clear highs are uncovered from the depths of the Lp grooves as never before. Easily added-on to any linestage preamplifier, the Rogue Audio Stealth phonostage can upgrade any system to include vinyl as a source of high fidelity. "…these Rogue Audio components will form a convincing and beguiling musical heart to a two-channel system. Yes, there are electronics out there that offer more detail and superficially sharper and more impressive sound. None I've heard in this price range can better the Rogue's all-around musical ability, the way they put performers in the room with you, drawing you to the music rather than the system. The Cronus arrives as a distinctive and decidedly different alternative to the made in China crowd; the Stealth just reinforces its appeal. Aptly named, Rogue Audio prove that there's life in the old dog yet." – Roy Gregory, Hi-Fi+, Issue 58 General Features: Moving magnet (mm) or Moving coil (mc) operation High performance op amp circuit topology Precise RIAA equalization Massive fully regulated power supply Toroidal transformer Internal settings for 100, 300, 1000 and 47k Ohm loading Internal setting for 150 Picofared or 0 capacitance loading Four gain settings: 40dB, 50dB, 60dB, 65dB Ultra heavy-duty gold RCA inputs Precision components throughout Heavy machined aluminum faceplate Two heavy (2 ounce) copper circuit boards Teflon/silver plated hook-up wire Detachable IEC power cord Entirely designed and built in the USA Photos: PLEASE READ If you are advertising multiple items, you must post one bulk price only, or post seperate ads for each item If you include any reference to pricing whatsoever in this section (excluding RRP), your ad will not be approved If you don't include photographs of the actual item being sold, your ad will not be approved
  9. Further information: I purchased these brand new from another SN member a few months back. The packaging has been opened and they are as new. Set of three RX-9 tube dampers for Preamp/ driver tubes 12AU7/12BH7 etc (according to Herbies website) More information: https://herbiesaudiolab.com/pages/herbies-tube-damper-comparison Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  10. Further information: I am selling a brand new Grado stylus which I purchased for my Vintage Grado Signature 8 cartridge. Subsequently, I discovered that I had ordered the incorrect one and I now have the correct one on its way from the U.S. I have been in contact with Grado and they have recommended this stylus, the MZ8 as being suitable for all of the current model chassis and as being best with the 8MR cartridge. RRP of these is $165, so if you need a stylus or want a spare this is a good deal. It is brand new and never fitted or used. The package was only opened today to take the photograph. Alternatively, if you have a Grado 8MR cartridge that you want to part with, then let me know. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  11. Further information: This is a very nice execution of the RJM MM Phono Stage. I purchased it a couple of years ago out of curiosity, since that is now satisfied, it is no longer required!
