@cogitatorMy thoughts are simple on this matter. Two very different sounding speakers.. Tannoys sound wonderful after recapping and with valve amplification. Harberth i prefer with really good solid state amps. Why not have both i say.

X-dac is a Burr- Brown 18 bit Dac. It processes the higher bits in R2R. It has a great musical sound sound that is not harsh or fatiguing at all. There is plenty of info online if one needs. MF X-Can V2 uses two ECC 88 tubes therefore has a warm non fatiguing sound. It has a fast and detailed sound and is said to be able to drive headphones with difficult loads. I have used this in my system to great effect. It is a tubed output stage and buffer. It lives between the cd player and preamp or it can go after the pre, active or pasive.
