  2. You are right, Andy, the LP12 is sitting on a heavy cabinet. With the isoacoustic stands I am getting much more detail. I am hearing the backup singers for the first time. Makes me want to listen to all of my records again to see what I have been missing. It’s amazing what isolation can do to the turntable performance. next I am going to try this on my Yamaha pf800, the Japanese equivalent of the Lp12
  3. I tried this out and found out the improvement to the sound quality was better having the isolation stands under the turntable than having them under the speakers. Amazing. Of course this is only an experiment as I will be looking for a permanent solution for the turntable isolation.
  4. Audio Sensibility Impact with Jelco right angle DIN connector. Shipping from Canada took 3 months due Covid. It is a good cable. Big improvement over the original cable.

  7. I have 3 records from 80s (Love over gold, Brothers in arms, self titled) 1 MOFI (Making movies) and 2 recent 33rpm records (Communique, On every street). I love the 80s records. New 33 rpm records sound great too. mofi overrated I think. Buy the records that fit your budget and enjoy.
  8. AR will work with Dynaudio. Just remember to use the 4 ohms tap on the AR. My AR ref 150 working fine with Dynaudio contour 20.
  9. Further information: Best bang for the buck phono preamp there is. It will make you discover more music in your old records. 10. @Grimmie, page 26 of user manual: Placement The phono preamplifier processes very sensitive electric signals. That is why you should place both appliances at maximum distance to potential sources of disturbance like mains cables, mobile phones, switching power supplies, transformers, computers and main amplifiers. I haven’t tried putting them next to each other. They have been 2 metres apart from day one. Give it a try. It’s a tweak that cost nothing.
  11. I bought a Vincent pho-701 with a NOS Mullard tube from SNA 2 weeks ago. I think tube had 100 hours run time when I got it. Soundstage and separation are excellent. I placed the power supply box about 2 meters away from the phono box. I am using denon DL103R with Ortofon SuT. The output is soft , so I have to turn up the volume on my main preamp , ARC 5se to about 70 to play loud on good recordings. Pleased with the phono stage, but now itching to get a full and proper all tube phono stage, when funds permit of course. Something with 4 or 5 tubes on it would look nice as well. I have the
  12. No. I didn’t think it could be reattached. This happens when there are kids and pets in the house. Lid closed all the time now.
