  1. Owned Noble K10 CIEM years before getting the Utopia. Quite the opposite for me, the K10 made me go from HD600 > AFO > Utopia. CIEM is my best headphone investment since isolation, fit and comfort is not only as important to SQ but also directly influenced it (esp bass). Recently got the IER-M9 as alternative, didn't get enough head time due to inferior isolation and fit, probably won't go universal IEM ever again. CIEM isolates more than ANC headphones but suffers from pressure build up during altitude change. Not sure if ADEL or APEX module alleviates it.
  2. I would rather buy an Eikon blind with the import fee and shipping rather than getting a Stellia at MSRP. It might actually be quite a safe choice since there have only been positive reviews and high demand in the used market.
  3. Item: Pioneer SE-MONITOR5 Location: Sydney Price: $600 + postage Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Not getting much use Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Bought them last October, first owner. Includes all the original stuff e.g. cables. Swapped directly to the included pleather pads on day one. Open to trade with ZMF dynamics such as Eikon/Atticus or Modhouse Argons (curious). Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  4. JDS Labs Atom worked quite well with my Utopia and Kaiser 10, the Utopia is slightly easier to drive than my IER-M9. Better than Magni 2 and DragonFly Black v1.5 at least. The Clear has the same sensitivity rating to the Utopia at 104dB despite the latter having 80 ohm impedance. Get the Liquid Spark or Magni 3 if you prefer sturdier build.
  5. Item: Fiio AM5 module Location: Sydney Price: 99 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Not getting much use, a little too warm Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Open to trade with AM1 Pictures:
  6. I currently own the Pioneer SE-Monitor5. For ME, its better than any other closed backs from Z1R and below including the Sonorous VIII, LCD-2 Closed and XC, Elegia, DT1770 and Aeon closed. I think only the Stellia is clearly a step above, I think I might prefer the SEM5 to my Aeon open too. I haven't heard any Oppo PM series, CA Cascade, Beyer T5p and Denon stuff but most importantly dying to try those ZMF Eikon and Atticus. Almost forgot that I haven't heard the TH900 and TH610, not exactly looking for bass cannon but I tried the mahogany TH-X00 for 5 minutes which I found quite pleasant sounding. Audio Technica had also just released the AP2000TI. Avoid HD820, simply terrible for that kind of price. Diminishing return and amount of choice are probably worst for closed around ears compared to open backs and IEMs
  7. Item: Noble BTS bluetooth receiver Location: Sydney Price: $70 Item Condition: Like New Reason for selling: Not being used Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal Extra Info: Got the BTS for free when I bought my Kaiser 10 CIEM three years ago. Haven't been used and has been sitting in a drawer all this time, not even once taken outside. I'll throw in the short 2-pin iem cable (new) for $40 more. Pictures:
  8. Just bring it back to the shop. I did RMA my Aeon 3x at Addicted to Audio, 2x from ear pad issue, 1x headband fix. They sent my pair back to Melbourne (HQ) for repair or swapped it with a new pair on the same day.
  9. 25% thats rough! Buying local probably only cost 10% higher from the GST but still having easy warranty process.
  10. Anybody knows how much it would cost to import >$1000 headphones? What about buying second hand from Ebay international?
  11. Yeah, its understandable, I'm probably going to migrate here instead of trading on Head-Fi, Ebay, r/AVexchange.
  12. Hello all, I am a long time Head-Fi member (2008) and has been spending most of my lurking on Reddit r/headphones most of the time now in the last 3 years. How different is this site compared to Head-fi? I registered because guests have limited amount of views for whatever reason. I have also noticed that trades (sell/buy/etc) are all local unlike in Head-Fi where it's mostly North America, hardly any Oceanic, so that's nice.
