  1. Hiya I've never had an issue streaming 4k HDR 5.1 Netflix. Using vodafone UFB, on a 5G wireless network, via the standard router/modem supplied by vodafone. Sony 4k , 65'' Bravia/ Yamaha RX 3060 for sound and vision duty. Still love the razor sharp clarity of 4k UHD discs on the Oppo 205 though ;)
  2. Yes, you need an Atmos capable amp, and either ceiling mounted or upward firing speakers, Dolby say that the more speakers the better, my Yamaha can run 11.2 ( 7 on the floor, 2 subs, and 4 ceiling mounted, through a 65" Panasonic 4K TV) and I'm using a separate amp to feed the the main fronts........ seems only a few blu rays are Atmos encoded........fiddled about with the settings on the Yamaha/Oppo last night....WOOOHHOOO!!!, Fury Rd is now Atmos enabled mayhem!!!
  3. Yip, kinda jury rigged 4x baby Polks into the space left after taking out some recessed halogens....as its a rental property, the cabling is clipped onto the ceiling......looks a bit rough, but the sound certainly is enveloping
  4. Hi all Anybody else purchased the above bluray locally and found that there is no Atmos option?.....I've got an Atmos enabled receiver( Yamaha RX3040) and an Oppo 103 AU Blu ray player........no luck, and yet Transformers Age of extinction plays Atmos enabled with no issues....gggrrrr!!!! Any feedback on your experiences would be great. Cheers, Darren

  7. Boris;188395 wrote: Yeah, big ask to squeeze 11.2 into 1 box though! Realistically seperates may be the only way to move up significantly from a Z11. I've heard good things about the Yammie combo and not bad value really at that level. B Hmm, I think you may be right....it seems that most reviewers agree with you, they are certainly big beasties though!!, Well, if Blurays were encoded in 11.2/4K, Then the ole' credit card would get another thrashing!! Thanks for all the feedback chaps!!!!
  8. Morning all!! Does anybody know if the above exists fresh out of the box, and any retailers in NZ?? Seems like there are a few 9.2 receivers available, but I don't want to hook up a stereo amp to pre-outs etc. I'd really like to just be able to connect up all 11.2 speakers/subs to do the full height/width, 11.2 Neo X kinda thing !! Oh, I have since sold the Z11, for the sharp eyed readers out there hahahha:p:p Cheers, Dazza
  9. Hi Graham Looks fantastic....seriously tempting ...any idea on possibility/cost to freight to Thames? Cheers, Darren
  10. Thanks Owen/Ernie/Blether I think it'll be easier for him to just buy something here....thanks for your feedback, much appreciated!! Cheers, Darren
  11. Hi Owen Thanks for your informative response....sounds like it may be easier for him to buy something over here. Cheers, Darren
  12. Afternoon all My brother is returning to NZ after working in the US for a couple of years. He has a bunch of LPs, but he was asking me(ah,the joy of Skype!) if his TT, a Pro-Ject Genie would work ok back here in NZ.... I know the voltage is different, but the 50/60Hz....could that bugger up the playing speed of the TT?....any advice most appreciated
  13. Great Marantz up for grabs!! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=557444887
