  2. Hi all, I have a Marantz AV7 Series where the Pre-Outs (XLR) aren't functioning. Changing the audio output to HDMI pushes the audio through to the TV, but when I select analog as output it remains quiet. Has anyone else come across this issue? cheers, Matt
  3. Thanks for the suggestion. I had a look at the Anthems, but they are a bit of an overkill for what I will be using it for. And you're right, the receiver will be used with powered monitors.
  4. Hi all, Besides the Marantz AV7702/03, what other receivers are available that have a balanced XLR output? I have had some of the newer Denon's recently but they have been plagued with issues. The older Denon a7100 was perfect if anyone might have one floating around? I work in post-production for game development so require balanced outputs to studio monitors. The setup is generally; Dev kits/Graphics Cards in via HDMI, Video output via HDMI output and audio output via balanced XLR. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Matt
  5. Adding a sub will only exacerbate poor room modes and acoustics. Some simple first reflection point absorption and possibly some portable gobo type panels would be a good start.
  6. Hi there, First time poster long time reader. Happy to be here matt
