  1. Thanks. I was just after some reassurance, and have now gone ahead and bought one off ebay. Are the separate Cyrus power units worth it as well?
  2. I am currently driving a pair of Kef Q5’s with the Nad. Would the Cyrus be a noticeable upgrade?
  3. Thanks. I'll look into that.
  4. Item: ~200W Plate amplifier Price Range: <$250 Item Condition: New or Used Extra Info: The amplifier on my Kef Kube 2 is blown and a genuine replacement is a bit pricey. So I'm looking for a plate amp off/for another 200W sub if anyone has one, or a has an active sub with a damaged driver but the amp still works? Please don't forget to report your post as FOUND when possible. (You can now delete this text).
  5. Unfortunately this DAC only works with 1 (out of 8!) usb ports on my PC - I think it has something to do with Win10 changing the coding for usb comms.
  6. Your problem sounds more paranormal! I also have an odd intermittent pop from my home theatre sub caused by the light switch in the study (halfway across the house) - no other speakers or switches seem to be affected.
  7. Morning all. I'm wondering whether anyone has experienced something like this.... My setup: PC with pcie graphics into 2x 24" monitors using DVI; PC to Audioengine D1 using USB, to Audioengine A2 (with Polk active sub). I have what initially appeared to be random popping. The popping pushes the speakers to full extension, and scares the **** out of my dogs (one of them won't come into the study anymore). I have now noticed that the popping is definitely related to activity on the screens, for example it happens sometimes when I get a Microsoft Teams alert pop up on screen, or sometimes when browsing to a new website and there is a sudden change in brightness/contrast on screen. Is this interference likely to be happening inside the computer (from the graphics card) or could it be coming from the cables (PC to DAC usb, display dvi or power)? Is there any way to add shielding to the cables to reduce this?
  8. Further information: I bought this to try with my Audioengine usb DAC, but they are not playing together (I think the issue is with the DAC which only runs off 1 off my usb ports...). Happy to post at cost. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
