  2. Hey guys, I have a stax srs252s, accidentally blew the fuse a few days ago. Since its no longer under warranty, I've been looking at replacing the fuse myself but I'm not exactly sure what type of fuse I need to buy to replace it, any advice? (It looks like a 1.5amp fast blow, but I measured the size and it is under 20mm so I'm a little confused)
  3. Item: Hifiman 4xx Location: Newcastle Price: 200 + postage costs Item Condition: no wear and tear Reason for selling: bought for modding, never got around to it Payment Method: Pickup/posted - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Great entry level planar, bought this to try a few mods, due to other cans/ general lack of time I never got around to it. Comes with everything except box but will include the carry pouch from hifiman he-400. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  4. I definitely agree, I feel like grados are sold through a strange sound signature and aesthetics instead of technical ability and finesse of sound. Other than that if you have older ears that don't pick up higher frequencies as well, grados may be a option.
  5. Hey, if the stand doesn't get sold, I am willing to buy it
  6. I have demoed the two side by side and they arent the same driver to my ears. They have the exact same tuning but the 660 is much morre detailed and technically capable to my ears.
  7. I'll take these if they are still available
  8. I feel quite mixed about Grados, I loved my SR80e for their price they sounded great but when I demoed the GS2000e with a chord hugo TT, I didn't like them very much, I felt they were bested by the HD 800S and the focal clears which I demoed with it by a large margin. I've recently tried a few of their mid range lineup and while they were more competitive in their price ranges to my ears than the 2000e, they still didn't live up to the talk surrounding them from what I heard.
  9. Another point to note is that the 4XX responds very well to eq, the bass roll off can be easily corrected without distortion, if you try to eq up the 6xx's sub-bass you can immediately hear the drivers aren't designed to handle those frequencies. I've demoed the dt990 and found them to be very bright, it may not suit everyone. The 6xx is the most natural sounding of the list (of almost any list in fact) but does seem 'boring sounding' as a result. If you are able to. go ahead and demo them in a store, the 400i should be close to the 4xx so listen to that, trust your own ears.

  12. Item: Audeze sine Location: Newcastle Price: $400 Item Condition: fair Reason for selling: too many headphones Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I have 3D printer adapter rings for larger over ear pads, included are stock on ear pads, and 2 different over ear pads, one which makes it more v shaped while the other makes minimal sonic changes. Scuff marks on one ear cup shown in pictures, otherwise good condition. Pictures:
  13. Pre 2016 audeze headphone are notorious for driver failures and high unit to unit variation. Its still a problem but not anywhere near the unacceptable rates they were occurring in before.
  14. I'm surprised no one has mentions the LCD 2 closed which sounded great when I demoed it. The mrspeakers ether cx was being sold on massdrop also looked interesting. There were also the modhouse argons which are great mid fi closed cans. Fostex th 900 if you wanted a V sound. Sony Z1R which was very smooth and huge sounding. ZMF Atticus and Eikon are very good if you can somehow get them shipped to Australia without the crazy import fee.
