  1. I have demoed the two side by side and they arent the same driver to my ears. They have the exact same tuning but the 660 is much morre detailed and technically capable to my ears.
  2. I'll take these if they are still available
  3. I feel quite mixed about Grados, I loved my SR80e for their price they sounded great but when I demoed the GS2000e with a chord hugo TT, I didn't like them very much, I felt they were bested by the HD 800S and the focal clears which I demoed with it by a large margin. I've recently tried a few of their mid range lineup and while they were more competitive in their price ranges to my ears than the 2000e, they still didn't live up to the talk surrounding them from what I heard.
  4. Another point to note is that the 4XX responds very well to eq, the bass roll off can be easily corrected without distortion, if you try to eq up the 6xx's sub-bass you can immediately hear the drivers aren't designed to handle those frequencies. I've demoed the dt990 and found them to be very bright, it may not suit everyone. The 6xx is the most natural sounding of the list (of almost any list in fact) but does seem 'boring sounding' as a result. If you are able to. go ahead and demo them in a store, the 400i should be close to the 4xx so listen to that, trust your own ears.

Scuff marks on one ear cup shown in pictures, otherwise good condition. Pictures:
  8. Pre 2016 audeze headphone are notorious for driver failures and high unit to unit variation. Its still a problem but not anywhere near the unacceptable rates they were occurring in before.
  9. I'm surprised no one has mentions the LCD 2 closed which sounded great when I demoed it. The mrspeakers ether cx was being sold on massdrop also looked interesting. There were also the modhouse argons which are great mid fi closed cans. Fostex th 900 if you wanted a V sound. Sony Z1R which was very smooth and huge sounding. ZMF Atticus and Eikon are very good if you can somehow get them shipped to Australia without the crazy import fee.
  10. For headphone amps at low prices the jds labs atom and monoprice liquid spark are the two budget kings, magni 3 if you can't get your hands on either. The Aune x7s is very good too, If I remember its going on ebay for under 200 aud which is a steal.
  11. 14. Item: Denon AH-D2000 Location: Newcastle Price: $200 Item Condition: well worn Reason for selling: Not used anymore Payment Method: Pickup/posted - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Classic out of production headphone. Great punchy bass and airy highs from the biocellulose driver. Very little needs to be said, this headphone has a lot of history and is highly sought after for a reason. The headband leather has small cracks in it (barely visible), the cable portion near the head is a little janked as well. the pads have been swapped and it is fully functional. Pictures:
  15. Item: Audio Technica ATH AD1000X Location: Newcastle Price: $135 Item Condition: Well used, 3.5mm jack is a little bent, still works fine with 3.5mm-6.5mm adaptor, easily replaceable if desired Reason for selling: Too many headphones Payment Method: Pickup/Posted - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Great pair of headphones for female vocals and strings due to treble and upper mid emphasis. Clear and airy presentation with the classic audio technica house sound. The 3.5mm plug is a bit bent (still functional) so it is best suited for buyers with a 6.5mm output device as using the 6.5mm adaptor prevents the slightly bent plug damaging the port. Pictures:
