  1. Hello there. I have a trusty Akai AP-103C TT which I have had for ages. It gets used reasonably frequently, and performs well. The only issue it has, and has had for a while is the sound "interference" when you use the Start/Cut lever. The sound dosn't seem to "cut out" cleanly, and sounds like interference for a couple of seconds after the stylus touches the record I imagine that the audio is "released" after the tonearm has finished its cycle? and that if midway through a track, you use the start/cut lever, the sound is muted so no warble is heard as the tonearm starts its cycle It then plays without issue I have never had it apart, but found this picture from another forum member of the inside of the unit.
