  1. How about $219.00 dollars - Beyerdynamic DT770 80 Ohm. Don't go tumbling down the rabbit hole. I got a pair of these recently and they have most definitely made me question the need for spending excessive amounts for musical enjoyment. They are a perfect match for my preferred sound signature. They are the studio legends for a reason.
  2. You can buy the X5iii brand new for $300.00 so your not going to get much for your rig. Unless there is something specific you don't like about that combo - keep it. That crazy Hawaiian dude on you tube thinks it's quite a respectable combo.
  3. Philips Fidelio X2HR?? Heavily discounted at the moment. Just got a pair myself. Outstanding build quality, easy to drive, great sound stage and fun!!
  4. Item: Elemental Watson Gen 2 Hybrid/Tube Class A Amp Location: Warmers Bay Price: 150.00 + $15..00 Postage Item Condition: Mint Reason for selling: No longer required. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, EFT, COD Only. Extra Info: The Watson is an amazing little amp. Silky smooth treble whilst still being detailed and some nice weight to the bottom end. https://jaben.com.au/products/elementalwatsongenii By trimming down on unnecessary luxuries and focusing on core performance, the Watson is able to operate in a dual mono configuration, with a military grade NOS 6AK5 tubes being the center piece of each channel™'s gain stage. Not only does this deliver rich harmonics typical of single ended class-A valve amps but also reduces warm up time of the valves significantly whilst extending the life of each valve to operate at their peak performance for more than 1000 hours per channel. Class A Valve/MOSFET hybrid tube desktop headphone amplifier Supports 30- 600 Ohm impedance headphones. Dual Mono Construction Delivers rich harmonics in single-ended topology. Western Electric Triodes Uses two Bell Lab/Western Electric 6AK5 valve tubes yields and produces excellent high-frequency performance. Smart Power Design Eliminates any 'Pop' sound when switching power on/off. Thus, no concern for pulse energy damage to your headphones. Compact and light-weight Easy handling size and small footprint. Portable. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  5. Peachtree DAC sold elsewhere - Elemental Watson relisted.
  6. Ok everybody, it turns out that the issue was at my end. My credit card was previously verified with PayPal however I have since been issued a new card and because the CCV/CVC was changed the card was no longer verified. When the instant transfers were flagged and then refused on a number of attempts all I got from PayPal was that it had been refused. So I had to go digging around my account to see what the issue was and low and behold!! I must say throughout this process the buyer was patient and understanding and is happy to wait until the funds are transferred. Oooops. 🙄
  7. The only foolproof way is collection in person. I have been scammed as a seller using PayPal. Introducing a third party into a transaction between 2 people is always going to be worrisome.
  8. I'm not new to I am not new to PayPal. 4 Years. This issue has nothing to do with that. Moreover, I'm supposed to send the goods to a buyer and if he decides he doesn't like the headphones and changes his mind he can just send them back and I have to sell them again. Screw that buddy.
  9. So who protects the seller from PayPal and their dodgy practices of withholding funds. It's all very well to assume that PayPal is a safe mechanism for buying and selling but nothing could be further from the truth. Apart from the practice of withholding funds PayPal is open to scamming from both parties. They are a law unto themselves and the FSO receives a **** load of complaints about this company. I'll be very hesitant to use them again.
  10. Thanks candyflip. Just wanted to be sure I'm doing the right thing if I withhold the item.
  11. My 1st 3 transactions were all done via EFT with no issues. and I have one sale pending where the buyer insisted on PayPal and has paid the monies to PayPal. To feel safe and secure I presume which I have no issues with. The money was received by PayPal and I chose to use the instant transfer facility to get the money to me. Now PayPal has flagged it pending a security review. No idea why however a quick google search shows this to be a common occurrence with PayPal and sometimes takes days for the transaction to go through. I incurred an additional charge to complete this "instant Transfer' and now there is no money showing in PayPal or my bank account although the transfer to my ban account is showing as pending. I'm sure I will get the money eventually but right now I cannot see it anywhere. So, my questions are, until I receive the money have I been paid and should I withhold the item sold until the money appears in my bank account and not PayPal's bank account which is probably offshore in somewhere like Ireland to avoid paying tax here in Australia??
  12. Item: Peachtree DAC.iTx plus Elemental Watson Gen ii Tube Hybrid Amplifier Location: Warners Bay Price: $300.00 plus $35.00 Postage (2 Boxes) which included Tracking, Signature on Delivery and Insurance. Item Condition: Mint Reason for selling: Culling my Equipment to try other stuff. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, EFT, COD Only Extra Info: I was using this combo with my Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro. The synergy with this combo and the DT 1990 was phenomenal. This combination took some of the edge off the treble and added a little more warmth to the overall sound signature. The Watson is an amazing little amp. Silky smooth treble whilst still being detailed and some nice weight to the bottom end. The Peachtree DAC.iTx is a very sweet sounding DAC indeed. I never used the remote. https://www.stereophile.com/content/peachtree-dac149it-da-converter https://jaben.com.au/products/elementalwatsongenii By trimming down on unnecessary luxuries and focusing on core performance, the Watson is able to operate in a dual mono configuration, with a military grade NOS 6AK5 tubes being the center piece of each channel™'s gain stage.
