  1. True except for that legal mumbo jumbo of offer and acceptance. They offered, you paid = a contract. Reality is it's just too much to be bothered with. Why not a simple rule then if you purchased an item here, you need to say that and how much you bought it for. It could be a Y/N question after asking price on the required info. If someone says No and they did - burn them at the stake!
  2. Surely they would be better off calling themselves Kurt and Courtney! Even playing a Jaguar.
  3. Decided to add a full dedicated mono set up on the techdas given it's got the room and I have a Linn Akito arm doing nada. Arm board from Italy ( $266 AUD landed compared to $$$ for techdas one!), Ortofon Mono SE direct from Ortofon in Denmark and a hell of a lot of mucking around to get arm on the board (took a fair bit of adjustment as board for a Micro seiki arm and the Linn arm need new holes. Sounds great on the Beatles Mono Masters album. Wish I bought the Mono albums release a few years ago for $400 - they now go $2-3K. Ouch!
  4. Love my sansui - analogue, fun to watch whilst changing settings and provides another gizmo to fool around with! I even used the room eq setup and sounds great. Best part is that it is a piece of cake to use for any source input via the hookup through amp. Do I use it all the time - hardly ever, but when I do it is fun.
  5. Bargain. I had this system for years and that lens is awesome in low light. GLWS.
  6. Thanks again everyone for the interest but this is again SOLD (deposit paid) pending pick up. Special thanks for the eggs tip - worked a treat!
  7. Absolutely the one arm I wish I bought for this. Would be very sweet.
  8. Okay, that was short lived - buyer told by his Mrs "NO". Back on the market!
  9. SOLD pending P and P. Will update if changes after coming weekend. Cheers.
  10. Further information: This was for sale previously however I have decided to add an extra arm to my Techdas TT for mono and I will be keeping the arm. Everything else in the previous sale is included save the arm, hence the massive price drop. I also found an extra strobe sticker that goes under the outer platter. You don't need this yet as the one under the outer platter is perfect. Previous sale here: This is a great project - just add the arm of your choice but please make sure it fits the Linn profile as the Mober sub-chassis is design
  11. As teenager growing up in the '80's, cassettes were not a ripoff, they were awesome. Were they better than vinyl - absolutely, in a car or in a walkman. The ability to take your music with you everywhere was where it was at especially when you got your first car which you and your mates ripped out the standard clunker and put in a fine pioneer, jvc or akai. I often think the indulgences we have today with almost anything available everywhere is similar. I am heavily invested in vinyl as I love it and I believe sounds the best. Still pretty useless though on a long car trip.
  12. Hi @scuzzii and @cheekyboy. I have a Techdas Airforce V. It can take 4 arms but only have one attached at moment. I would need to buy an arm attachment and the one I like is made in Italy but is substantially cheaper than a techdas. It seems they make arms for tonearms as shown here: http://www.audiogears.it/category.php~idx~~~222~~MICRO+SEIKI+TONEARM+BASES~.html Phono cable is all cool - seems just any 5 pin DIN.
  13. Hi John @scuzzii, great arm. I cannot seem to find what mounting arm this fits, is it SME, Rega or something else? Also is there a phono cable included (may be the item in the box pic but cannot quite see). Cheers, Rod
  14. Nothing and it is awesome. Having spent a considerable amount on both new and old records I am now firmly in the original camp. Kills most new pressings everyday for sound stage. I only buy new vinyl if the price of originals is prohibitive.
  15. It's uncanny that this speaker setup is exactly the same as mine. Whoever gets these should definitely get the iso acoustic feet. They make an awesome speaker even better. Much more open if you will. And if you have carpet like I do, I also spot the feet have the carpet discs - again another must. Bargain to be had here.
  16. I have exactly the same speaker. They are wonderful and the wood finish excellent. GLWS.
  17. I wonder if these will work in my klaudio? Can't think why not. Where did you purchase these from for $150 @pine weasel?
  18. Decided to give this PS Audio product a go. Was aware of what Fremer and audiophile think of it and it's recent analogue product of the year 2020 award. While I have always enjoyed the youtube vids of Paul McGowan, the aesthetics of PS Audio put me off - reminded me of someone raiding the old parts bin of HP computers. I don't know if they recently upped their appearance but I was really surprised by the look of quality the Stellar Phono had in the flesh. It is extremely well made. The outer is metal not heavy plastic I thought their products appeared to be all made of.
  19. Price drop and bump - need's good home! $4,250.00 - not much more than the cost of the new arm.
  20. Okay, I would love this to go to a good home as it is just sitting here. Price drop again down from $4950 to $4500. Happy to answer any questions. Cheers, Rod. Further information: This is an unexpected sale due to upgrade. I love this turntable and it plays extremely well. I actually thought I would never sell it but it will otherwise go to waste with a new tt on the way. I begin this journey in December 2018 by purchasing an LP12 in excellent condition. This is an early model but the plinth is immaculate. T
  21. One that stands out for me is Brian Wilson with band at a small venue at the Arts Centre here in Melbourne. It was a small affair - at a guess 200 max, in about 2002. I was in my early thirties and had seen my fair share of indie, pubby type bands. Been to few big concerts but prior to turning 30, lived in Tassie. A lot of the really big names simply didn't bother. Brian Wilson stands out as I did like the beach boys as a kid and he simply had this "stardom" feel to him. At one stage Brian was starting a song on the piano and someone spilled a drink everywhere, all over the cables
  22. Missed a great show. Last live concert I saw before lockdown. Went with a mate to the Palais in St Kilda. Seriously left pumped with a smile on my face. I did bail on New Order though because of Covid - really wanted to see one of my favourite bands of all time but didn't want to risk it.
  23. Factory - Communications 1978-92. This is exceptional. I grew up in the 80's and Uni late 80's early 90's. This takes me right back. Pressing over 8 albums is clean with outstanding sound stage. Even if you have a vague interest in Factory Records and their history with Joy Division, Happy Mondays, New Order etc, I would get this. Bargain on Amazon for around $130.
