  1. I stumbled onto this earlier this morning, might be useful: https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/passive-filters/ For the HD800, there's a filter cable that claims to lower the 6kHz peak by 8dB.
  2. Item: Yamaha WXA-50 Wireless Streaming Amplifier Location: Sydney Price: $350 Item Condition: As new Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Purchased in Feb 2019. Used maybe only 5 times for desktop duties as quickly replaced by Google Chromecast Audio + DAC + Hypex Ncore amp. https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/review-and-measurements-of-yamaha-wxa-50-streaming-amp.7964/ Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  3. Would be nice to show how much of a reduction each one does - AU8 on it's own, the Delta NR cable on it's own.
  4. If it's the NR cables with built-in filters in the IEC connectors, then it's also helping here...
  5. What cable is being used? Is that one of the newer NR products?
  6. Drill a hole in the wall and put it flush. Spray paint the grill white or whatever the colour of your walls are to blend in.
  7. You sure about that? I'd go with a Y-splitter into two headamps that way gives each user the ability to control their own volume. Something like JDS Atom for it's compact size, price, and seems to measure well.
  8. Are these cables shielded? Also, any ideas what connectors are used (XLR)?
  9. I think @Decky was referring to the U.S. plug and socket.
  10. The one in the wooden box is the one with the SMC connectors, v1, I believe.
  11. Nice little thing. I'm still using mine. If anyone wants an extra gaming controller, I have one for sale. GLWS.
  12. Ah, thanks! Found some more materials online, mostly seems to be based on research done 40 years ago.
  13. What's the reasoning behind removing mid-range compensation? Any references or links you could point me to?
  14. Right, I mean two of these mounted horizontally side-by-side. Would work out shorter (2 x 30.5cm) than the SuperCinema soundbar (124.5cm) and fits the requirements of 2 channels.
  15. Something like a GoldenEar SuperSat 3C (C for horizontal tweeter arrangement)? Get two of those and mount them side-by-side.
  16. @M5SRT, any updates after trying those placements? I've just recently started playing around with the MultiEQ app myself so would be interested in your findings.
  17. Just saw this over in the commercial classifieds section. Pioneer VSX-S520 Slim $799.
  18. If you can wait a bit, you might be able to pick up a NR1608 on clearance (NR1609 just released recently).
  19. Grab two Paradigm MilleniaSubs and a Y-splitter cable as @Snoopy8 suggests. Dimensions are on their website and can be laid flat, maybe even fitting under the entertainment cabinet. Also, get the PBK kit to calibrate the two. Big WAF.
  20. Ended up getting floor / clearance stock Triton Threes for a really good price; the Three+'s replaces them.
  21. Item: GoldenEar SuperSat 3 (pair with stands) Location: Sydney Price: $900 (RRP $1,195 pair; $295 stand) Item Condition: Used, still excellent condition Reason for selling: No longer required, taking up storage space. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Purchased at the beginning of the year to use as 5.1 surrounds. Room correction suggests crossing these over at 200MHz even though specs says it can go as low as 80Hz. Would prefer something that goes lower so planning to replace these with GoldenEar SuperSat 60s or Triton Sevens. Pictures:
  22. Item: GoldenEar SuperCinema 3D Array XL (passive L/C/R soundbar) Location: Sydney Price: $2,150 (RRP $2,895) Item Condition: Near new, used for a couple of months Reason for selling: No longer required, taking up storage space. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Purchased at beginning of the year, but then shortly after, dealer had clearance deals and couldn't pass on upgrade to GoldenEar Triton floorstanding and SuperCenter centre speakers. Caught the upgrade bug as many of us do. Pictures:

  24. Maybe you need to take your decked out caravan to Bunnings; park it right next to the sausage sizzle and pump up the music.
