  1. https://www.stereonet.com/au/news/yamaha-introduces-yh-5000-flagship-headphones Wonder who the Australian distributor will be. @Bengineer? Your Final Audio D8000...
  2. @Indie Hi-Fi any news on the new Holo Audio Bliss HP amp?
  3. Can vouch for Audio Technica. My son, who's 7, has a Audio-Technica ATH-M50x and it's held up pretty well. He's had it through Kindy and almost end of Yr. 1. Purchased around this time (Black Friday) in 2020 for $134.91. You could probably find good deals around there or the model below M40 might be within your budget.
  4. Hah, fair enough. So onto the ZMF Caldera or Yamaha YH-5000SE next?
  5. @Bengineer? I think you've had yours long enough
  6. My ears are a weird shape, so I did this about a year ago. At the top I have Audeze dimensions - 67mm x 50mm. I too felt they fit better on my head with my ears.
  7. Now mark the ones you've kept and currently own, then add a little summary for each and there.. boom, list there
  8. You're not the only one. I've read others having comfort issues, myself included. For me, what helped was larger ear pads with a larger internal opening. Going to have to be careful with the headband and trying to flex or bend it wider, there's stories of the headband snapping.
  9. Something different, maybe signal cables are picking up interference/ noise? Are they running close to power cables? Also maybe try simplify the chain to root cause? So try laptop source straight into the amp. Next, try with no source connected, is the hum still present? Then try move the amp somewhere where its isolated not near any other electronics.
  10. I have this crazy idea to replace the existing foam pads with the Audeze open-cell foam stick on ones.
  11. Audeze sells them, I had purchased a shorter version from them. eBay too, search "audeze lohb strap".
  12. Geez, how many convolution filters did you buy? Maybe Marco will accept AfterPay, 4 easy installments/payments.
  13. It seems like you guys are playing musical chairs / pass the parcel... and last name on that list has to buy it! (im not playing, just saying)
  14. Maybe someone in this community is kind enough and has the app to come around and do what you need to do? Once loaded, that's all you need. You can also save the settings to a USB stick and then load them later. There is a Windows version too, but that's very pricey. That's Audyssey MultEQ-X.
  15. In addition to the review of the RS250 here at SNA: https://www.stereonet.com/reviews/hifi-rose-rs250-network-streamer-review A couple of others, including one from JA at Stereophile with some measurements: https://www.stereophile.com/content/hifi-rose-rs250-audio-video-streaming-da-preamplifier https://audiophilestyle.com/ca/reviews/spending-time-with-the-hifi-rose-rs250-r1067/ https://hifiandmusicsource.com/2021/07/hifi-rose-rs250-streaming-dac/ Also the RS150: https://www.soundandvision.com/content/hifi-rose-rs150-streaming-dac-review
  16. With most DAPs, they usually run a gimped version of an O/S such as Android and most likely missing various security updates. If it were me, I'd go down the phone route.
  17. This looks handy/neat: https://raalrequisite.com/product/ti-1a-ribbon-amp-interface/ Use conventional headphone amps to power the SR1a (and the upcoming circumaural CR1a).
