[Sonos vs musicast]

Hi brains trust

 

i have Yamaha 2085, I also have a Sonos connect gen 1. Though for some reason I notice playing music via musicast on the Yamaha seems better through the Sonos. Condos is connect via fibrotic. 
 

not sure if it’s just me or has anyone or if there is any reason why that may be?

 

any help appreciated

Hey guys

I’m having issues with earc outputting lossless audio codecs from a Sony 9500h to a Yamaha 2085. Both devices can do earc have tried different cable but only getting lossless codecs whether it be dts or Dolby 

Any ideas it people who have had similar issues or solutions ?

Hi trying to get Sony 9500h to output Dolby true HD content t streaming from a severe to a Yamaha 2085. 
 

even though earc is compatible with all devices and cable should support receiver only shows up Dolby digital plus or dts when and lossless content is played back 

 

anyone else had similar issues or solutions?

Short answer is yes 

 

the sub doesn’t impact it as it is powered 

 

your receiver has a maximum 190w for all 4 speakers - the amplifier are not 100percent efficient say 60% so your amp really has 120w max for all 4 speakers so really around 30w 

 

alhough yea they can drive them you would find a benefit with more grunt

Im sure many would agree there is quite a division between the HDR standards. 

 

Wondering Ng people’s thoughts on which one will come out on top and b) for those who have 4k (still using an older led) setups whether the Dolby or hdr10 standards are are important.

My gear quite entry entry level compared to some here( 826v, cc800v, sw800v and dome) more hen enough for an apartment, try not to annoy the neighbours too much. Aim to improve the 2 channel performance - via spectate amp as current avr is good(definitely happy) i know it could sound better
