  1. Hi, I honestly believe the true integration that exists in modern hi-end 'integrateds' such as the Diablo 300, ML ?545, Heigel H590 etc, has reached the point they outplay quite a chunk of separates (pre and powers). The Diablo is a case in point. Anyway, just IMO, but why go for the extra cabling (power and interconnects) and space just to provide a potential future upgrade path when you can get straight to the end game in a single box. I don't and will never need more power (this thing is a beast), and the pre clearly integrates so well I would have a job better matching anything else. I aud
  2. Hi, I am only 100 hours into burn-in and despite a slight metallic edge particularly on female vocals (to be expected but which is softening), the dynamics and the CONTROL are astonishing. Soundstaging is simply brilliant both width, depth, and for the first time height. I can hear height - position of each drum where Angus and Julia and the instrumentation sit in 3 dimensions. Very cliche but it is holographic. Tonality is lovely and balanced - projects very musically through the Bartok. Very hard in my experience to sit back and listen to real music from digital. Spent many years on this jou
  3. Hi, my apologies, a lot on and not at all sure how to navigate around here as I'm a noobie. Yes it does comne with the all the ARC Room Correction kit including USB mic, leads etc. No, the Bartok is not for sale (only done 200 hours) though wished I'd got it in black (anyone up for a swap?), the Diablo has just gone past 100 hours and is softening up but marvellous. Now I'm looking to see how I edit my ad for the Anthems - any advice?? Cheers!!
  4. Just one year old only and in immaculate condition, but I have the audiophile bug bad and a new journey starts today with a Gryphon Diablo 300 integrated - just delivered as I type! ?. Out goes the Anthem stack. Plenty of good reviews around to espouse their qualities far better than I, but coming from a PrimaLuna background can attest these are truly high class products worthy of the praise they receive. Purchased for its 600w of power to drive my Sopra 2's and twin Martin Logan 210 subs, which they did beautifully, and for the pre-amp's transparency and its strong inbuilt digital
  5. Before that, however, big shout out to JoJo Fernandez at Audio Connections. Very professional and excellent service. Clearly very experienced.
  6. What the heck! Pushed the boat out, new Diablo 300 due to arrive today. Now I understand why WA stands for a wait a while... Topic now closed. Cheers.
  7. Item: Gryphon Diablo 300 Integrated Amp Price Range: Item Condition: Ex-demo, Used or, if a great deal, new. Extra Info: Shipped to Perth A new one is pushing the boat out a little, so keen to explore if anyone out there with an ex-demo or used one looking to move on. If so, I'm your man!
  8. Timski, don't know who you are, but that is not the case. I am holding subject to calls tomorrow. Cheers.
  9. Further information: Excellent condition top shelf DAC, lovingly looked after with original packaging. Up to date Windom firmware (a significant improvement over Snowmass). Very happy to audition if local. Time to move on - bitten by a Bartok!! Photos: PLEASE READ If you are advertising multiple items, you must post one bulk price only, or post seperate ads for each item If you include any reference to pricing whatsoever in this section (excluding RRP), your ad will not be approved If you don't include photographs of the actual item being sold,
  10. Small amendment to the above - my Directstream has the latest Bridge II (not the Bridge I)!
  11. Well, I'm going to chip in here as a noobie on this thread - I have a pair of Focal Sopra 2's (coming from a background of Sonus Faber Amati's). I run in parallel with a pair of Martin Logan BalanceForce 210 subs - I like bass! The difference in slam and imaging throughout the spectrum, not just bass, with Gaias throughout (I's on the speakers sitting on dedicated solid sheaok plinths, II's on each of the subs) was significant! Far less secondary floor propagation (I have a wooden floor so can feel that) as a result. Cleaned up the soundstage. Almost as much an improvement as introducing the
  12. Nice IEMS! I have a pair of the Campfire Andromedas and was blown away with their performance but these are a different league again. Interested to know which eartips you settled on. Spinfits 360 a big improvement to me over Comply. Ever tried the Symbio Ws (hybrid of internal foam with outer silicon)? GLWS!!
  13. Hi. I might be your man. Just picked up a DCS Bartok (see Frank Prowse thread). My Directstream with Bridge 1 in silver will need a new home. Let me know if you are interested. Not sure what the protocol is here so will take your advice. Cheers!
  14. Hi! First time post ever for me. I tried a Bartok in my system courtesy of FP and was expecting a small incremental improvement in musical involvement vs my Directstream. Wow, was I wrong! It was revelatory. Its a cliche, but after 20 years of chasing analogue MUSIC from digital sources, it was the closest I've heard! It may be multiples in pricing of the Directstream but it left it, to my surprise (and not my initial expectation going into this), in the dust. It was beyond incremental as I was expecting. There was a significantly greater musical involvement and, relative to the analytical nat
