  1. Great advice Snoopy8, I'll be jumping on whirlpool. Peter to answer your question... To much for what there giving! But no other providers can offer an alternative. Hopefully NBN won't be distant dream
  2. I'm on Mornington Peninsular and currently I can't get broadband only wireless.
  3. Hi All Firstly I apologise if this topic has been cover already, still finding my way through searching. My Tivo is on the way out, random restarts ect ect... From what I can find online there aren't to many products that seem to compare to it. What products can people recommend I start looking at to replace my old unit? Key features would be:- 1. Season Pass (records an entire season, even it changes times or channels) 2. File management. The Tivo does a good job of deleting things to keep HDD space. This is based on dates and times I believe. 3. Online scheduling of recordings. Thanks in advance Dan
  4. Hi All I'm new to this forum so just finding my feet. I have a situation I'd like some feedback on. I am in the process of upgrading my home network and storage options. I don't have access to any broadband were I live, only wireless (no I'm not joking). For this reason I have decided to go with Telstra as they offer the largest download limit for wireless (A huge 15gig). Do to my limitations with internet I get more use from streaming from a local source rather than web based content. I have in the past used a WD my cloud, which I have been happy with. But I haven't been able to use it properly as my current wireless broadband modem doesn't have Ethernet ports. I have a Telstra 4G advanced II. So I want to take out the sim from my current Telstra modem and use it in a D-Link DWR 921 4G LTE Wireless Router. This router has Ethernet ports that will allow to connect various devices, one being a new 8TB WD my cloud mirror that will replace my older 1TB unit. Has anyone had experience with this type of D-Link router or something similar? I want to make sure what I'm planning will work before buying all the hardware. Thank you in advance. Dan
