  1. You can but it's a PITA. Caps move, legs don't seat, thread engagement changes. Faster to flip, strip and reassemble.
  2. Bad news I'm afraid. You will need to dismantle it. The top caps are under decent tension and will not be budged with blue tac, magnets etc. Also trying to loosen the legs under the caps to reduce the tension will just bind them up on the level below (unless you dismantle it from the bottom up).
  3. I've auditioned and bought a number of items upgraded by @mivarpet Quality parts, great workmanship and qualifications that guarantee items work as designed. Recommended.

  6. Further information: Krix Graphix Mk2 Current model from the Australian speaker manufacturer based out of Hackham South Australia, renowned for cinema installations across Australia and around the world. https://www.krix.com.au/krix-story/ Multiple award winning centre speaker Brand new in box. Graphix was part of an insurance settlement following a house flood. Speakers replaced in interim so surplus to requirements Black woodgrain finish RRP $745 FROM KRIX: The Graphix centre channel delivers precise timbral matching to the Krix Acoustix Mk2 main speakers. Working together, the speakers produce a seamless, dynamic and acoustically intricate multi-channel surround experience. Dual 130mm bass/mid-range drivers, each with heavy-duty voice coils and a high powered magnet assembly, combine to deliver a powerful bass response. Highs are provided by a 26mm high frequency driver, with a wave-guide centre plug for controlled directivity and improved intelligibility and transparency. A compact centre, also perfectly matched to any of the Krix main speaker range, the Graphix Mk2 gives you the ultimate flexibility to choose a home theatre system that suits your room. Thanks to its dual front firing vents, the Graphix can be placed inside cabinets and AV furniture, eliminating any ‘boomy’ bass resonance. AUSTRALIAN HIFI BEST BUYS The sound field presented by the Acoustix and Graphix team was absolutely seamless, enveloping us in an enormous bubble of sound that was a sonic mirage of the action taking place on the screen. The Krix’s tonal balance was dead neutral and combined with the very detailed tweeter makes for dialogue that is totally intelligible. SOUND IMAGE AWARDS 2011 – HOME CINEMA SPEAKER SYSTEM BETWEEN $3000 AND $6000 The combination of Graphix, Acoustix and Seismix 3 proved to be a big hit with the judges. The identical front and rear speakers provided a “seamless picture that excelled at reproducing detail, dynamic contrast and resolution of complex and dense movie or music mixes”. 8. I assume the worst when considering demo gear. i.e. that the item has been powered on for a minimum of eight hours a day for every trading day the shop has had it. Across three years that's a lot of time. And a hell of a lot different to you using it from new for a couple of hours a day. Warranty or not, I'd consider it potentially well used and be looking for a commensurate price.
  9. The 103 is a great unit. The Darbee version is even better. Excellent picture quality. GLWTS
  10. This is Bonnie. Loves chasing off people that want to touch the remotes. Hates thunderstorms and subwoofers. She's a good girl. 15 years old now.
  11. I think you'll find the Harmonix are floorstanders. Did you mean the Acoustix Mk2 possibly? The Acoustix are a sweet bookshelf speaker. I've got a pair that I use with a Graphix Mk2 centre (the Graphix is an Acoustix on its side with a different crossover). The Acoustix/Graphix match displays a similar synergy to the Neuphonix/Epicentrix combo, just scaled down a little. If the lower profile of the Acoustix is what you're after, I'd recommend the Graphix over the Epicentrix. The pic shows the relative sizes!
  12. Hi, the room is 5.5 x 4.5 x 2.7m. Are you considering something similar in an existing space?
  13. Well picked. The DR2 drives the fronts and an XPA5 out of frame looks after the centre and four rears. AVR then only has to look after atmos speakers.
  14. I've got a Mk2 and love it. It's superb with movies and music, particularly if matched with the Neuphonix. Only downside is that it's a beast size-wise so could be tricky to place.
