Thanks for that Wimbo. Wow, very interesting last hour looking through that thread!! Actually it inspired me to dig into the cart a little further. I've managed to lever off the outer shell to reveal the inner workings and can see where the windings are soldered to the output pins. Might try and just touch those up to see if that is the problem. If the windings are gone that will probably be beyond me!!
Looking for some thoughts. I'm restoring an old Denon TT. It has a Dynavector DV-50A that has had a Garrott Brothers tip put on it. This history of how it got to that point has got me intrigued so I'm hoping for a miracle on the repair because the left channel has gone open circuit. The right channel sounds great. I suspect it is game over for it but thought it worthwhile a post for any suggestions on whether it could possibly be repairable. Thanks in advance
