  1. Hi, Wondering if any techs out there or anyone familiar with a similiar problem with the Samsung DVD-R155 recorder. A couple of weeks ago i came into my room to find that the picture froze on my tv that was caused by this dvd recorder. Now the dvd won't eject or play.. Iv'e unplugged it from the outlets for a hours even a day but it seems like it still has memory because the time is still the same? Anyone know if it might need a reset and if theres any way i can reset the memory in the recorder or how long would it take for the memory to clear so i can see if i can try and eject the disc in the recorder as it has my favourite seinfeld disc in there and it wont let it go!
  2. I just updated the driver to the latest and got it working!! well sort of!!!! i have been mucking around with it im getting close though..if i turn the firewall off in windows and do a repair in the LAN settings it connects..ive narrowed it down to two things its either the firewall has to be off or the lan has to be repaired (refresh the settings) for it to work cause its on constantly now i just updated the firmware and got the browser..
  3. neither, im trying to connect through the Nintendo USB Wifi connector, basically its a rebranded buffalo usb wifi keychain which can be set as an access point for the nintendo ds can access to get on the net.
  4. Hi, I just bought a nintendo wifi usb connector and have spent hours and hours trying to get the thing working with no success. I installed the software that came with it. The Nintendo DS communicates with the connector because i have to give it permission on the pic for it to connect its after that where it doesnt connect and an error comes up onscreen. I have to say that i am on dial up connection but was thinking this shouldnt be a problem from what i have googled. I then uninstalled the nintendo software and installed the BUFFALO drivers because this usb connector is a rebranded buffalo wireless keychain and then i installed the client mananger that is downloadable from the buffalo website. I then set the software to AD-HOC mode the DS then communicates with the connector but an error comes up saying no ip address..i then changed the setting on the pc to infustructure mode but i get an error in the software saying : failed can not find target...i have no idea with the settings or what to do and i was wondering if anyone cluey out there can help me get this going?? If not i will have to take this back.. cheers
  5. Its future proof so i suppose it would be better getting a new one, for me it was because i have never owned one i had the choice of getting a lite or dsi but i knew the dsi would be better in the long run
  6. I paid $278 for mine at big w. But i think that deal has ended now...
  7. You cannot satisfy everyone, i for one like maybe millions of other sports lovers are all for a sports channel. Hope the Nine Network would do something like that then i can watch all the NRL games replayed like fox sports does. I know my set top box will be on ONE HD for most of the time and the other would be ABC and NINE when the football is on thats all i care about..

  9. Oh nice radios there fp. I like the AWA Radiola's. Im more into collecting pocket transistor radio's. There's a few i want to get that are collectable but are hard to find. I think i might have to start going to garage sales and such to find any. APW: I would of liked to build a project like your EA Playmaster. They dont sell kits like that anymore. Would like to build my own AM set though iv'e built a shortwave radio from dicksmiths funway books but thats just not the same!
  10. I have recently gotten into the hobby of collecting old portable radios from the 60's, 70's and 80's. I was wondering if anyone else has a similar interest and which is your favourite transistor radio that you cherish?
  11. This might be of no importance but i bought a Digitor AM/FM portable radio a few years ago from Dick Smith. It's the best portable radio i have ever owned. Audio sounds great on AM and FM as well. But on AM its great how clear it sounds. The reception on it is the best by far of any portable i have had. I listen to it at night and try and DX stations from regional places. I've picked up all sorts but i usually leave it on 2EC which i think is in Batemans Bay? That comes through terrific on this portable. Maybe picking up one of these might help?
  12. I got a funny feeling the Seven Network will launch their channel first some time in feb - march followed by TEN in April (as we all know) then NINE. I could be wrong, but my suspicion.
  13. Can't satisfy everyone, im actually glad finally a network thats competing with fox sports and pay television. I think its awsome a 24 hours sports channel about bloody time. More like bye bye foxtel for alot of people. PS: Foxtel execs if your reading this can you now lower your prices for the standard package to $9.95 a month? LOL
