  1. Check this item: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Component-Video-IR-...=item45f01536ee You need to ask for the Dual Frequency IR Receiver. I am using that with a Foxtel HD box and it works without any problems.
  2. This is the setup I am currently using http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Component-Video-Dig...=item439bbed6c4 Sorry couldn't find it before
  3. Hi Guys, The best solution for foxtel in another room is to use a HDMI/component to Cat5 Extender eg: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/HDMI-and-IR-over-Ca...=item2a038a8039 This also has an ir repeater. I currently have component and RCA with IR over cat5. Have been using it for almost a year with no problems at all and I get Full HD and sound in the other room. You only need to run a couple of CAT 5 cables between the rooms. Hope this helps Aruna
  4. Thanks guys for all the suggestions, MLXXX the reason I want to connect the laptop is for photo slide shows and playback of Videos downloaded from my video cam. If I use 1024 X 768 rez and select wide screen setting from the TV, everything is going to look fat. when I use 1280 X 1024 rez, it fills the screen top to bottom, but I am loosing a lot of real estate on both sides. in addition all my videos are 16:9 so I am going to loose Info from top and bottom as well. I will look at the possibility of getting an AGP card installed.
  5. MLXXX and F111, Thanks for your help, the input display is now gone. I unchecked the hide modes button in the laptop monitor page, it still has not got the 1920 X 1080 resolution. I looked at the list all modes tab in the Adapter page and 1920 X 1080 is not listed. My laptop is a Toshiba A50, is this a hardware issue? Do I need to get another Laptop?
  6. I have just got a 70" SXRD and have connected all the equipment through a Yamaha 861 HDMI output, the pictures are fantastic. Connecting Foxtel through the Yamaha made a big difference to the picture quality. I have two issues which I hope someone can help me out with. When I connect my laptop to the PC input I cannot get the laptop to output 1920 X 1080 resolution. The best I could get was 1280 X 1024. This is 4 X 3 aspect ratio. When watching the TV, I get the HDMI input, label on the top left corner, I tried all the buttons on the remote, but can't get rid of it. Any help will be appreciated. Aruna PS: Equipment connected: PS3, Samsung DVD 1080-P7, Foxtel IQ, Topfield 7000 STB, Sony VCR, Sonic satellite box.
  7. Hi Harry, Sorry I haven’t got enough posts to send a PM, could you put my name down for the group buy, Model: TX-SR605 State: NSW, Sydney Pickup if possible, Regards, Aruna
  8. The Yamaha has no analog-to-HDMI video conversion, maybe you should wait a little and get the Onkyo TX-SR605 http://www.cnet.com.au/hometheatre/avrecei...39277125,00.htm Aruna
