  1. Bought this from SNA Classifieds a week or two ago. Not having heard it before I was looking forward to having a listen. I am not sure what I expected but it was not this. 14 forgettable tracks of bland, a chore to make it all the way through. Can't see this playing at my place again anytime soon.
  2. This arrived last week, first chance to listen this morning. Some fairly standard covers done in Mike Rudd's "unique" vocal style. Quite like it at first listen but "I Wonder Who's Kissing Her Now" is such a bizarre track choice and IMHO just does not work, I can't imagine why they included it unless it was sending a message to someone? Will give the album another go down the track.

  4. I had a similar issue, this fixed it-- https://www.matchmaster.com.au/filters/19mm-tdtisol/
  5. For all practical purposes any brand will likely do. I have Netgear stuff in my network just because I have never had a problem with them. Other people will have their goto brand and some won't care what brand. The fate of the world probably doesn't hinge on your choice!😁
  6. All ports are on the front. Plug your cable from your nbn modem into one port and your streamer and bluray into any of the others. You will have 2 ports left for other devices in your bedroom. No manual switching required, just plug and play.
  7. Just use a switch like this one-- https://www.pccasegear.com/products/47097/tp-link-ls105g-5-port-gigabit-desktop-switch Available just about anywhere, PC shop, Officeworks etc
  8. Three blokes, a "toy" drum kit, what else do you need?
  9. Ariel, Spectrum and Murtceps were big in my circle back in the day. A lot of their catalogue is not available on cd and seeing I don't own a turntable (punishable offence to admit that?), has curtailed my nostalgia somewhat. However, a quick search and I found this on ebay. Ordered and a little excited to get it! https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SPECTRUM-Plays-The-Blues-MIKE-RUDD-RARE-Australian-Blues-Rock-CD-/163880084591
  10. I'll put up my hand for the Mike Rudd/Bill Putt cd please Steve.
  11. What sort of money are you talking Stump?
  12. The Black Crowes-- Warpaint. Has a bit of an Exile on Mainstreet vibe mixed with a little bit of Free with a pinch of not quite but almost Lynyrd Skynyrd. If you can follow that......
  13. Country Joe McDonald, Vietnam Experience. Previously my only experience of Country Joe was his appearance at Woodstock doing his "Feel Like I'm Fixin' to Die Rag". I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this. Some good bluesy/folksy tunes, some excellent lyrics and finishes of with a long chilled instrumental.
  14. First of all, I enjoyed much of what I saw of the show and appreciate the efforts of those it set out to recognise , however, I hope if it is to be an ongoing thing, that an alternate date is found. I think it removed focus from what ANZAC Day is about and I do not buy into the evocation of the ANZAC spirit and applying it to being in Covid isolation, as some of the media would have you do. Again, this is not to devalue the efforts of those at the coalface. My 2c worth.
