  1. i wish i knew about all of this before picking up a copy from JB on Sunday
  2. they ended up sending the receipt in the mail
  3. i got the 26inch last week and the original receipt was not returned? anybody else had this problem
  4. i got an email and i initially registered and when they received the receipt
  5. purchased my tv on the 8th nov.....registered and sent all the documents in the next few days and got the 26inch delivered today so it took just under a month
  6. yes it was series 6....i prefered the look of the series 8 (especially blue instead of red) as well as 200hz but i couldnt stretch the budget
  7. just picked up a Samsung 55inch LED TV, 4 year extended warranty and Samsung Blu-Ray player for $4300 from JB....not sure how good a deal this but i'm ok with it i was initially leaning toward the 52Z5500 with the free 3 year warranty and PS3 but nobody seems to have it in stock and by the time would, i think the PS3 deal would have ran out also, if anybody was interested, JB Doncaster had the 46inch XBR45 for $3600
  8. anyone posted this? Xbox 360 Elite + 4 Games with Sharp LCD TV......also worth noting that they have a 3 year warranty standard on their TV's prices seem pretty good, RRP on the 42inch is $2200, 46inch is $2800 and 52inch is $3800 and they have some 40inch LED models as well
  9. do you have everything doing through the reciever or some connected directly to the TV
  10. with a 5 year warranty, i would not be worried that much......another thing to take into consideration is that you will only get 1 year warranty standard with the B8000 so you will need to spend an extra few hundred to get a decent warranty i really dont know about the internet conectivity with these TV's so you will probably have to investiagte that further one point though, the A950 comes with 100hz motion plus while based on the US specs, the B8000 should come with 200hz motion plus......not sure how much of a difference this will make
  11. from all the reviews i have read.....the A950 should have a slightly better picture wise since it uses full LED backlighting compared to the edge LED backlighting used in the 6000/7000/8000 series both TV's looked stunning to me and i really could not see that much difference....you are getting much better value for money though consdering you pay $4200 for the A950 vs around $5500+? for the B8000 only concern i would have is that it is display stock......i am not sure how this affects LCD's
  12. amazing price.....did they have the 55'?
  13. how the stores set up the display models will make a big difference for average buyers....i was in myer on the weekend and they had a 46B6000 and a 46B650 on display, the 6000 looked absolutely stunning while the b650 looked quite average. The difference was massive even though in reality, the difference is not that large
  14. apparently the Samsung Series 8 LCD's are discontinued? Good Guys are not selling it anymore and JB-Hifi did not have it and there website say's it is discontinued i was planning on picking one up because i saw a 52inch for $3876 last week, pretty much the same price as a series 6! i know the LED models are due in May but but the 55inch model will be around $5000....not sure if i am prepared to spend that much when are the new non LED models due? might have to go for a B750, although i doubt the price will be that good
  15. hmmm....i was set on getting a LA52A850 (JB has a good price) and now i see this only problem is the new models wont be that cheap
  16. is there any place where i can find out the differences between the PDPC509A, PDPLX509A and KRP500M the Pioneer website is not very helpful
  17. i just need to know if there is a new lineup of Sony Bravias that are going to be released soon?
  18. go here and click on the VIERA Plasma TV 360 PRODUCT SIMUALTION flash presentaion it will bring up a presentation and if you select "Slim and Compact Design" it brings up a page indicating that the plasma will have a inbuilt digital tuner....it must be referring to the 600 model since the 60 does not have a digital tuner that will probably be the main difference between the 60 and 600....other then the fact that the 600 looks better
  19. had my plasma for nearly 2 months....155 hours on the clock
  20. no buzz from my 42500A...the Sony PFM42V1 has a bit of a buzz though
  21. well it depends really, if you have a HD PVR then having a digital tuner built into the plasma wont make a difference since you will be using the PVR to watch and record TV if you dont have one though...and just want to watch digital tv, then having a built in tuner would be an advantage, 1 less box in your setup and less cables....and it might be cheaper then buying a seperate set top box December does seem a bit late for the 600...i was thinking july, late April sounds right for the 60 though
  22. is Australia getting the "60" model or the "600"?
  23. the differences between the as far as i know depend on the country, for example in the US...the advantages the 600 model has include a PC Input, PIP and better speakers the UK 60 model does not have the better speakers, PIP and additionally it misses out on the SD card slot although it does have a PC input so i'm not sure what we will get here if Panasonic want to release it in April, then it would have to be the 60 model because as i said, apprently the 600 is not due until June although for a couple of days a week or two ago, there were a few flash presentations on the Panasonic.com.au website about Plasma's and it had information on the new model, the pics in the presentation were of the 600 model and said that it would include a digital tuner....the presentations were taken down though so maybe they changed their mind unless you could get a really good price on the current model....i'd wait for the new ones
  24. thats the 60 Model....the 600 model is the premium model pics maybe youve confused the 600 with 60.....Panasonic might decide to release the 60 down here instead of the 600.....
  25. if we get the 600A in April, i will be suprised.....apparently they wont be avaliable in the US and UK until June i thought there would be a inbuilt digital tuner with this model but i guess i was wrong....anyway, technology marches on but i'm happy with my 500A
