Mick26 - Try getting the Crest cable swapped out, I had a prob with a couple of Crest SCART/Component Cable, and had to get it swapped twice before getting a workable one.

$3,100 delivered about 8 weeks ago in Sydney.

I got mine about 1 month ago from Bing Lee for $3100 inc delivery. I mentioned JB offer of $3,190 and they came back with $3,100. Great panel at a incredible price for 42" HD.

IMHO 1. You should either stretch the budget for Hitachi 42PD8800TA - found on this forum for as low as $3,190. 2. Or go with the Panasonic SD which has been seen on the forum for closer to $2400.

JohnZa - that's the lowest i have seen so far -> which JB? Was it delivery inclusive?

This is my first post - and thanks to the experts on this forum I have narrowed it down to the 42" HD - Hitachi & Panasonic. Hitachi - best price I have seen and verified in Syd is $3,280 delivered - and that was almost a month ago. Panasonic - anyone know the current street price based on the recent wholesale price drop? I've seen around $3,500 on the forum so far. Any advances on the Hitachi & Pana price in Sydney? Thanks in advance.
