I have a Topfield 7160 and all the times for the EPG are out by 4 mins.
So all shows start at xx.04 or xx.34
So the news for example is 17.04. This is screwing up all my recoding names as its taking the name from the previous show.
I have an EPG tap installed (cannot remember what its called). Maybe I need to try a different TAP.

Have you got a source for this information?
FWIW Wikipedia says ONE will be here in August for Canberra

oops .. originally posted in wrong thread... this is where it should be!! my q relates to connecting a ps3 to this plasma:
has anyone connected up a ps3 with the HDMI cable and a HDMI-DVI converter? or does the HDCP-non compliance issue get in the way?
Anyone actually got a PS 3 to work with this plasma?
-
Does that actually work with this plasma though?
It has issues with the HDCP protection.
-
sorry to resuscitate this "golden oldie" thread...
my teac PLH4220SD is still going strong, and i'm still happy with it.
i wanna get a ps3 for it though - has anyone connected up a ps3 with the HDMI cable and a HDMI-DVI converter? or does the HDCP-non compliance issue get in the way?
Ok so now I just got a PS3.
What cable do I need to hook up the TEAC to the PS3?
-
If he actually read the T&C's he would know that it says once the counter drops below 1000 then you must ring and confirm that you are registered.
Got SFA to do with a browser window.
-
Maybe it is, unless you know what your looking for & until you get it home & discover 50hz just doesnt cut it & the upscaling of SD material to 1080p is average.
Uh huh, My 60 year old mum won't know what she is missing.

I heard that the current W4000 series will be re-released as W4500 in a few months.
I reckon they need to clear the old X-Series and V with the PS3 offer rather than the new cheeper W series.
Hard to justify an X series over the W for the extra $$ when the difference between the picture quality is really neither here nor there.
-
Can either of yoiu guys scan a receipt please as i am looking for a W4000 in a few days
my email is frog_a_lot @ hotmail.com
You shouldnt need a recipt to get this price.
All I said was "How much can co you it for?"
The first price was he gave was $2150. I saw ppl here getting it for about that so I was happy.
Pushed a little on the warranty to get it from $279 to $150.
Interestingly, the recipt had the telly for $2021 and the extra warranty for $279 for a total of $2300.
-
Just paid $2150 for the 40" w4000 + $150 for a extra 4 year warranty.

Thanks all,
My friend had decided and he bought the 40x3100 for $2750 with 5 years warranty and free hdmi cable.
Pretty good deal especially with free PS3.
Your mate got bent over.
$2750 for the w3100?
The w4000 rrp is only $2699

I have the blue ray player and I would like to swap with a PS3. I live in Sydney, if anyone is interested my email is dorics@optusnet.com.au
Why would anyone swap a blue ray player, games console, web browser, music player etc for a Blue ray player?
Yeha Anyone, I have a lump of shi^t that I would like to swap for money if any one is interested...
-
Anyone actually bought one yet?
I am planning to go next week, RRP is $2699 so $2400 (~10%) should be a doddle.
Thoughts?
-
Yes, this is the x-series!
Sure, I will post the price once I buy it. I am looking at buying before the weekend.
Thanks,
I am going to wait until July for the PS3 offer now anyway.
Still interested where you got the best price in Canberra though.
-
Trust me, free PS3 promo starts again on the 1st of July, information has come to me straight from the source !
Well.... Ill wait.
*Shakes fist* But if your wrong!!!
-
I think it will apply to purchases after 1 July (or what ever start date they announce) and are bought within the qualifying period. So unfortunately no.
I am not convinced this deal will come back.
Just cause some one on a forum says it's happening.
I would love it to be true as I have been holding off on my Bravia purchase since March.
Given the amount of problems with the first offer, I doubt they would even consider it.
-
Thanks for that. I think you got a great deal, with the extended warranty. I will go to JB today and try for something similar.
That is the x-series isn't it?
I am in canberra and I am after one of those also.
Can you let me know what you end up getting it for?
Ask if they will give you a discount for 2, I was going to get one this weekend.
-
Sounds like stalling tactics to me.
No speakers, no stands, what a load of BS I say.
Who knows what the real reason is. It does look as though all orders will be filled which is a relief.
My local Bing Lee are still taking orders. They have 30 orders pending and are taking more.
Also the JB catalog yesterday had them advertised with "Limited Stock"... Go figure

I have this telly.
One of the problems ppl were having with the HDMI IN on the telly was that on one could work out for sure if it was HDCP compliant. I think the general consensus was that it was not.
But you are connecting to the DVI in on the TEAC which AFAIK works fine. I certainly use the DVI in on mine (DVI to DVI).
HDMI is just DVI with sound thrown in, so you are using a HDMI out into the DVI in? How is the sound getting to the telly?
I assumed that you tried HDMI -- HDMI and it didn't work?
Some more info plz
EDIT: You said HDMI-M to DVI-M. WFT is DVI-M? Could be the problem :/

Sales must be slow on the 428 as he said the 508 have been flying since the price drop.
I would settle for a 428 I reckon.
Even they are had to find in Canberra.
-
I think anyone who doesn't already have one by now will be very lucky to get one now.
Myer have been taking orders for TV's that they can never fill.
As I said previously, the guy at the Canberra Myer said they had over 50 sets on order and were still taking orders.
When JB, Harvey normal, Good Guys etc, all say that it is an End Of Line model and they CANNOT get anymore and WILL not take orders, what makes you think Myer can get them.
I know you guys don't want to hear this, and I hope that I am wrong, but IMOP only ppl that ordered before 15th April will get them.
EDIT: Please keep the updates coming as I would love to get one of these babies.

I asked the guy about the floor stock and he said they didn't want to sell it cause there is a chance that they would get more.
He was just the weekend guy though. Don't see how they could possibly fill all those back orders. I think there will be a few disappointed Myer customers soon.
-
I went hunting for one of these in Canberra on the weekend with no luck.
Even the floor models have been sold.
The guy at Myer said that they had -15 stock of the 50" and -41 of the 42".
So nooooo chance of getting one here.

I think that is probably what has happened!
I have not heard of Universal padding. I thought it was just recording padding.
Ill have to and hunt round the menus and see where I have set it.
