  1. the svs range is pretty good at the current price offering, especially when bought 2nd hand. I had 2 svs sb2000's and they kicked hard and tight. My room layout couldnt accomodate ported versions, but if you have some sort of digital room correction in place, the differences between sealed and passive are minimal - as they should be. I now use a single SB3000 and it was a step up over the dual sb2000's, better driver, amp, room correction abilities.
  2. End game is a state of time in my journey. For the moment, my SGR CX4 Mk2s are it. Once i threw in digital room correction via Minidsp, it took it to another level which im very happy about.
  3. Have you considered room treatment and DRM - digital room correction? I ventured lowly into this via the Dirac and minidsp and found that this gave me the best outcome instead of just rolling continuously on upgrade cycles. Maybe a NAD dirac receiver might be worth a consideration?
  4. yep its a scam. i got one 3 mths ago.
  5. heaps of images online - google Korsun/Dussun D9 5.1. There are jumper pins on the right hand side of the amp, where you can remove them, essentially running the unit as either a preamp or power amp. It weighs a ton - 25kgs with massive heatsinks on the sides. 130w x 5 from memory. Also, the .1 sub out has a preamp function to attenuate or increase the input gain to the sub's input. Plus it has a metal remote too, which is handy to switch inputs from 5.1 x2, 2.1 x7 inputs.. Display is dimmable
  6. I use a Pana UB900 which works well for this purpose but no digital volume control. I output its analogue outs to a Korsun D9 5.1 pre/power amp with volume control. I really dont miss the merry go round routine of updating a receiver for this purpose. Like you, i watch a bit of netflix and the odd bluray or two.

  10. Agreed, have lusted over these for years but alas, space, time, and coin denies me these..
  11. If you could, i'd suggest looking into the SB3000. Just one of these managed to give better control and output over my mate's dual SB2000s.
