Gior, its not a nasty smell so I would say its not bacterial but its like a new car plastic type of smell. Its stronger than the leather smell from the couch. I should mention that I have a few collectable figures in there which would contirbute to the new smell but its almost been 2 years.
Also after a couple of min in there you don't notice it as it becomes a part of you but on entry it hits you.
Broke, there where plans to move a microwave in there and a small fridge but never got around to it.
Oakenshield, have thought about burning candles etc but havn't tried it as it might be harder to get the scented smell out if I get over it.
Simon will give Bicarbonate of soda a try and see what happens.
The smell goes on.
