  1. 4K HDR AppleTV

I know it makes sense, but still great the it highlights titles I've purchased under the heading "4K & HDR", especially for ones that weren't when I first bought them. In a way it's confusingly not in the Movies app under Purchased, but in the TV app, Library > 4K & HDR, separately from TV Shows and Movies.
  2. 4K HDR AppleTV

Nah, Amazon still wants your money!
  3. 4K HDR AppleTV

Thunderbolt 3 which also uses (the) USB-C (physical port) supports HDMI as well, and I would think at some point incorporates all of the complexity from there as well. Maybe!
  4. 4K HDR AppleTV

In some ways it's more complicated than USB-C. But I think they make it more complicated than has to be especially with competing standards and not mandatory on certain "standards". I was surprised to learn wide colour gamut didn't just mean higher colour bit depths. It makes sense when you think about it, but in the end, it's way too "technical", if you know what I mean.
  5. 4K HDR AppleTV

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with the way it is, just a little annoyed it seems rather "complicated."
  6. 4K HDR AppleTV

Apple TV 4K seemed to let me select 4:2:2 using the same cable that defaulted to 4:2:0. Really can’t tell any difference. Switched to supposedly a better high speed cable, again defaulted to 4:2:0. Can the AppleTV 4K do 4:4:4 anyway?
  7. 4K HDR AppleTV

I think I know a little more now, but not enough to explain it to others in any great detail! But at least relying on the TV and Apple TV 4K to tell me what's enabled and supported is nice.
  8. 4K HDR AppleTV

Should be <2m. Thanks, some light reading after dinner!
  9. 4K HDR AppleTV

Finally plugged in my Apple TV 4K today, found there was a cable test and offered me 4:2:0. Will try another cable tomorrow to see if it supports 4:2:2. I don’t know what they exactly mean - had a quick scan on Wikipedia, not sure if I’d notice the difference!
  10. 4K HDR AppleTV

If that's true, that would be great! Well, I suppose no harm trying what I've got first... Thanks!
  11. 4K HDR AppleTV

I'm planning on getting one, and noticed Apple Store no longer sells their own branded HDMI Cables. Does this mean we needed "higher quality" HDMI Cables as well?
  12. Dolby Vision Vrs HDR 10

One thing about standards - so many to choose from... Now that Apple TV 4K supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, I'm interested to find out my next TV purchase. Hopefully by then it'll be less confusing!!
  13. Whaaaa....? Just as I was catching to the last couple of pages of platitudes and thought maybe I should get a copy. LOL But tell me, are you comparing Rogue One with all movies, or only Star Wars movies?
  14. Blu Ray Title Trade

    Gaia selling Planet Earth? C'mon!
  15. Blu Ray Title Trade

    Not a keeper?
