Watched this one yesterday, loved the first, fell asleep during this try hard sequel. the first was over the top, but this was purely ridiculous.
How very true. John Wick 2 is just a HDR demo film that is all.

Damn. What do I do with the ZD9 if I get tempted
No contest to the Z9D if the Whirlpool Forums is anything to go on and you play and watch HDR content.

Now reappeared on Sony Website as available this week.

Stop it guys, I'm still waiting for mine to ship here.
Congratulations on obtaining one. Not sure on the Sony Strategy here as they never really pushed the Z9D and supply has seemed to be very limited and hardly ever seen in a retail store. Not useful if trying to boost a few sales.
Just have to wonder if a similar situation will occur with the new A1 Oled
-
Highly Unlikely as the ZD9 was going for as low as $4600 at JBHiFi but there seems to be virtually none to be found anymore in Australia.

I would think the major points for possible buyers is 1) Can the LG 7 series be fully calibrated. 2) Has LG improved motion handling in the C7 to equal the Sony A1 or Panasonic EZ9500
Flatpanelshd were comparing motion handling to the LG C6 which has been around for quite a while.

Hey Aloy
I assume you don't want any HDR capability for this 40"?
JSmith
HDR is pretty abysmal on the KU6000 so wise move to stay on the J6200 and get a half decent picture in 1080p instead.

First proper review of Sony A1 65" http://www.flatpanelshd.com/review.php?subaction=showfull&id=1492757435

Where are you getting this price from?
Educated guess considering a LG G7 is $40K and the Sony A1 is considered to be better so will not be cheaper.
Quote: 77" G7 is $40,000. Saw one at Moore Park today.

Thanks for telling me this.
And 2017 Samsung Qleds hardly getting rave reviews even the high end Q9, though the curved screen gimmick might finally be getting through to Samsung Korea

They will be king when you can buy a LG 85 inch one for $13,500
Going to be a good few years down the road as the biggest OLED screen they have managed to date is 77" and the Sony A1 will be more than $40,000
Going to be many years before OLED TVs can be competitive on price with the large 75" + LCDs

LG's high-end 2016 OLED TVs deliver the best picture quality of any TV we've ever reviewed
That is about to change once there is more than one OLED TV maker in 2017 even using a LG Screen.

I find it hard to believe that anyone who purchased a 2016 LG OLED is unhappy because it's performance is worse than there last gen plasma.
1The only advantage of 2016 Oled would be 4K that never got to last gen Plasma.
LG may be the only maker of TV OLED screens but their TV technology is way behind the likes of Panasonic and Sony with HXC2 and X1 extreme processing to make the most of OLED while LG gets many complaints regarding processing like 'Trumotion' and dithering to compensate for banding which causes artifacts and blurry TV pictures.
Quote: Trumotion also seems to create artifacts in Clear or Smooth settings: try De-Judder = 5 and De-Blur=10.
Quote: LG's OLEDs have poor up-scaling and motion.
I think the truth will be revealed once the Sony and Pansonic Oled TVs are reviewed by an independent source.
Not like the 4K UP970 player is considered to be any good compared to the opposition.

Even if the Panasonic has better PQ style wise i couldn't have a bar of there new OLED's.You have a choice of the crazy aeroplane wing soundbar or legs at each corner.I hate the idea of needing furniture as wide as the tv if your not wall mounting.Sony's effort looks great style wise at least from front on but why tilt the screen backwards?Again they want to sell us style over practicality.
Ha they look like an LG or a Hisense depending which model you want. I would go for the 1000 just for the improved black screen filter.

Hopefully Panasonic using the LG manufactured screens can really out perform the LG 2017 TVs. Just now waiting on some good quality reviews.

Price back up to $396.00 at JB as from today 16/04
The new M9500 should launch here very soon and looks to be a slight improvement on the 8500.

If they are better than or equal to OLED at a significantly cheaper price is what is important to most consumers. Still waiting for SED to be resurrected by Canon as an OLED competitor.

As For IPS Panels listed as having a superior colour rendition to VA. Well I read another site that said the Opposite to that. Sometime you wonder how some get it so wrong.
3Tend to believe photographers that use IPS colour monitors not that I can see any better colour on an IPS TV over VA but viewing angle is just so obvious.
- IPS (In-Plane Switching) – compared to TN, IPS monitors are true 8-bit (full color reproduction with no dithering), have much wider viewing angles and are capable of accurately reproducing a much bigger color gamut. Some of the older generation IPS monitors suffered from low response times, but most of the latest models offer reasonably good response times/refresh rates as well. IPS monitors are expensive and they are primarily used for professional photography and design. Many of the high-end Apple screens, including the new iPad use IPS displays.
If VA was so good then I might ask why are they not used in computer monitors which normally demand higher quality than a TV ?

Look at rtings.com they say that anything with more that 20 Deg angle you start loosing the Quality of Pictures.
VA panels at much more than 20 deg just go to a very washed out picture which makes an improved contrast ratio over an IPS panel totally irrelevant. + IPS is listed as having a superior colour rendition to VA.

So who supplies the cameras ? Don't think TEN have any in their Melbourne F1 setup.
Maybe it is just pseudo 4K from an upscaled HD signal as provided by the official telecaster of the event.
-
It is just congestion as during the evening everybody and their dog are busy streaming TV Services and of course the ISP will not spend any extra cash on CVC if they can get away with it. The more people that sign up for NBN the worse it will get.
-
So Sky Sports are supposed to be transmitting F1 from Melbourne in 4K. Er really didn't even know that 4K TV cameras were in use here or even most of the world that hosts F1 races.

I think you will find Harvey Norman had the 77" LG W7 for $40,000.00 when they were first introduced into Australia earlier this year.
