  1. I wish I had the space for this museum-grade item. I just hope it goes to a good home that continues to care for it. VINTAGE RADIOGRAM - KRIESLER https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1921339368033523/
  2. Most Excellent, since I discovered having a life thanks Yorac! Oh dear, did I accidentally post in the old timers re-union thread?!
  3. Don't mess with #dagangstafromadelaide mello.... he has a Masters in concrete footwear.
  4. What's this about a new TV... it brings 'em all out of the woodwork. Have you replaced the 300C with the latest Land Rover Evoque pimpmobile yet?
  5. Hi Folks, it's been a while since I've been active on these forums, but I moved into a smaller house about 4 years ago and had to put most of my cinema room into storage. I was hoping to have space when I renovated to include a cinema room, but both the Council and Financial gods have conspired against me. So, my much loved cinema seats that have been patiently awaiting a new home are now up for sale. You can read about them in my blog entries from some years ago: My search process and some info is in this post My review and ecstacy after they arrived is documented in this post Please note that only the 3 cinema seats are recliners with headrests. The two seater is a regular couch with no headrests. The 3 recliners all detach into single units for transport, but they are still quite heavy as they're made of steel and hardwood. Here's a quick description copied and pasted from my blog post: Kiln dried hardwood frame Pre glued frame joints for extra strength High quality plush "Comfortec" cushioning Zig zag steel suspension instead of cheap webbing Ergonomic design to suit all shapes & sizes Top quality leather (Leather is graded into 3 tiers) The optional headrests are height and tilt adjustable The optional swivel tables add a lot of class.... much better than the cheap & tacky plastic cup holders that you find everywhere else They're the only thing in my HT that my wife is happy that I spent the money on! .....now that is the biggest recommendation of all FWIW, the colour is "Shiraz". Located on the Lower North Shore, Sydney. Transport is at buyers expense. I paid over $6,200 for these high quality Australian made recliners from the manufacturer and still have the receipt. I think offers around the $2,000 would be fair even though they're still in excellent condition.

  17. For every technically savvy poster on AVS, I reckon there must be at least 10 that just lurk in the hope that enough people will tell them what they should buy. Not everyone wants to understand the technology, many just want to know that they are buying the best, whether it be in terms of value or performance. I believe it is this type of individual that AVS are targetting, not the geek who spends half his life online in search of the ultimate.
  18. WOW... there's a badge of honour! I just went back there for the first time in a long time and noticed that AVS are heavily marketing a new Prismasonic cylindrical..... hmmm!
  19. Nice work Tony. I wonder if any of the big boys will follow suit.
  20. Hey guys, I have an Aussiemorphic Mk2 that is surplus to my requirements as I no longer have my HT since I moved house. I can't be bothered posting it as it's so heavy and fragile, so if either of you are in Sydney and you're interested, make me a reasonable offer via PM. Pickup is either lower north shore, or Sydney CBD.
  21. You shoulda seen the pics that weren't made public!
  22. I think Lyle meant to rebuild the o/s, not the hardware. I have to say though, that it sounds conspicuously like memory parity errors to me.
