  1. I have to say the sensitivity of the Hailo HDSTB-8000 tuner is fantastic. I am very impressed.
  2. Tracked the 1st order online. Stated that courier stopped by the day before the 2nd ordered was received and left card to say that parcel was waiting at the P.O. Somebody was home that day and there was no card left in the box. Went to the P.O. and explained what happened. They had my 1st order waiting for me
  3. My Dstore order was dispatched in 2 lots. The 2nd dispatch was 3 days after the 1st, yet I received the 2nd one today with the 1st one yet to be received. Go figure.
  4. I got those same emails regarding availability of titles. On Sat night, my order got updated to say it had been shipped. The titles were: Serenity The Fast and the Furious Total Recall
  5. Is there an easy way to find a list of all Universal HD-DVD releases?
  6. Slysoft has better compatibility. I back-up both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray and unfortunately DVDFab won't support my LG GBW-H10 Blu-Ray burner
  7. It would've been nice to get that email yesterday before the JB Hi-fi sale.
  8. That would be the Elements model as opposed to the MyBook model.
  9. No brainer. You are weighing up every PS3 game w/ DD5.1 vs <1% of FTA w/ DD5.1. You do the math.
  10. I heartily recommend HDAddicts as well if there's anything there you can source. Only made the 1 order there once and took about a month to arrive.
  11. That's only b/c rental DVD titles were single layer discs (DVD5), hence reduced bit-rate and reduce quality. I have rented hd discs both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray and they are the same as retail.
  12. Most if not all LG drives are Hitachi-LG. They are referred to as LG for simplicity but Device Manager will always tell you otherwise.
  13. I'm suprised epilepsy hasn't become more commonplace thnx to that film. My eyes just can't keep up with the fast editing.
  14. Agreed. Sony have released 4 versions of the PS3 so far, only 2 have made it Oz.
  15. Yes. They should be the same as the DVD versions of DH1-3.
  16. I'd like to put in my 2c re:Quickflix. I have been a subscriber for 2 mths following a 1 mth trial and the range of hi-def movies is great. Service has been fantastic and some of the subscriptions available are of great value. Many thanks to Quickflix
  17. I'm sure if there was a deal in Australia alot of people would be jumping on it and it would be a popular topic. As it stands, there is no such deal being the "lucky country" we are, continually getting screwed over possibly because we are not a huge market compared to our overseas friends. Best thing to do is get one of these drives at best price possible anywhere from $200-250 and capitalize on the Aussie dollar in buying HD-DVDs from the US. If you want to rent out some HD-DVD movies before you decide to buy, you can get a 30-day free trial with Quickflix using the promo code "friends".
  18. To the OP, I've accepted the fact there are 2 HD formats and have lived with it. Will the fanboys out there try and do the same?
  19. Got the 1st 3 of these at $14.95 ea at discounted sale price over a week ago at Big W. Agreed that $19.95 was not a bargain when widely available for less. Big W had the best deal.
  20. So which retards spoke on our behalf? Or does Sony, like every other big, faceless corporation, think they know what's best for the consumer?
