  1. The picture looks good to the human eye, imo its best to not go searching for issues that are trivial, otherwise you will always be noticing that so called issue. The Americans love nit picking every little thing on technology. Thankfully us aussies are not like that to that extent.
  2. What you couldn't of moved the price sticker to check??? Well I just checked mine again and guess what, no screen peel there! And WTF is 2-2 cadence??
  3. I have not had any of those issues on my set. I have been following that thread on the AVS forum and it seems to me that the peeling issue is confined to mainly USA
  4. Perfect for me. However I did measure my viewing distance and its 3 meters.
  5. I bought a 40" TCL FHD lcd for 500 bucks. its my xbox tv.
  6. I have never seen any of this on my set. I had last years C7000 model for 10 months and never had it either. Dont stress, just enjoy the set.
  7. No buzz at all, and never noticed any floating blacks at all! Get this TV, it is a beauty!
  8. The file is gone felix. Can you post the settings please?
  9. Can you direct me to these Avical settings? My 64D8000 is going on 3 months old now and I have noticed the PQ improve over time so time to try a different setting to see if its better than my current settings.
  10. Did you SYNC it to the tv via the special instructions?
  11. I did too and it was great. I watched the grand canyon doco and it was done really well.
  12. Maybe just an odd faulty panel. Have you tested out other tvs of the same model in the stores?
  13. A bit harsh on Samsung there imo. We should be grateful that they are always looking to improve the quality of the product for the consumer post release of the product. There is alot of other major brands out there that dont care about there products performance once it leaves the factory.
  14. No this does not effect the D8000 model. BTW this D6400 is not part of the official range, I think its a exclusive model for Harvey Norman only. Best stick with the D7000 model.
  15. They dont tell us here but in the US they do which is odd.
  16. Is your muteki 3d compatible? Recent model are but older versions are not. Google the specs of your model number.
  17. Digital broadcasts are a joke here in australia. I am so sick of watching tv shows in 576i resolution when I have a 1080p display. Ripp off!!!!!!
  18. I have had my 64D8000 about 3 weeks maybe now and I am noticing that it is not as good PQ as my old 63C7000. Blu-ray is the same but digital free to air content which is largely SD is not as clear as my old set. Could it be possible that they have changed something that has caused the scaling of SD tv broadcasts to look as ordinary as it does? I did every FW update on my old C7000 and noticed the PQ improve so maybe this TV will do the same, they just released its 2nd updated since the tv came out here so I might give that a try. Also I need more aussies to get this set so I can try their calibrated settings. It could be possible that the current setting I am using might not be the best for our standard of digital tv here in australia.
  19. Has anyone updated to new FW version 1013.3? any better?
  20. Nice TV, ive seen it but asking price $2999 WOW
  21. I have given those settings the boot because they look a bit dull to me. I am currently using Tiveohd settings and they look very good.
  22. After seeing my TV my mate has been searching around to get one but the store are saying that samsung is struggling to bring these into the country so they cant give an ETA. If anyone wants one I suggest they be patient because this is an awesome tv so it would be worth waiting a few months for.
  23. Tiles, I dialled in these settings from a guy in the uk forum and I am very impressed, I have tried all the other settings from the us forum and I think this look best. settings: http://www.avforums.com/forums/plasma-tvs/...ion-thread.html
