  2. Thanks for that, yes this makes sense, no kids in this house so it never got huge usage.
  3. hmm, good question. I couldn't even hazard a guess. Maybe 2-4 hours a day? I have an Xbox but probably only played it briefly a dozen times. The television has never given a hint of trouble in the three years I've had it. Like all late model Panasonic plasmas the quality always been superb.

  5. I'm not ready to pull the trigger on an OLED until I see quality of FTA (eg. AFL high def) approximating that of my Panasonic plasma (ST50). Am not looking for better or even equal quality of the plasma, but just around the same mark. Footy on Channel 9 HD looked pretty bad on a 65" LG C7 I saw over the weekend. Way too many jaggies around the edges. Now I believe this years Sony OLED has the best video processor on the three manufacturers but so far I've not found a retailer who will plug an aerial into their display unit for me. Even had one salesman tell me something in their agreement with Sony prevents them from doing so.
  6. Panasonic 86cm HD widescreen flat CRT television - Superb picture quality (better than plasma/LCD in my opinion). - Does 1080i, 100Hz resolution over Component. - Made in Japan In immaculate condition with remote and original manual. Open to offers. Pickup from Tullamarine (Melbourne).
  7. Absolutely agree with you, which is why I'll probably keep my Panny 86cm HD CRT till it dies Out of curiosity what set do you have? Sounds like you might also be a CRT old timer
  8. Looking at maybe upgrading from Panasonic CRT (1080i) to either Panasonic plasma or LCD Will be used for TiVo and ocassional DVD but also quite a bit of VCR and Satellite (FTA) viewing. Obviously the last two are composite and SD only, so my question is, would you think plasma or LCD would make VCR and Satellite look better? I'm still not definite that I'll upgrade because the picture on the CRT is so good, but its lack of digital inputs is starting to bug me. thanks
  9. Yeah their support has certainly gone downhill from the excellent levels in the early days. I bought a TiVo Glo remote a couple of weeks ago which developed a problem about a week ago. So I emailed them about 6 days ago but still no reply.
  10. That first email from TiVo comes through quite quickly, a few minutes in my experience, even on weekends. Is there any chance your email software or even your ISP has trapped the email in a spam filter?
  11. I've read a few people say it can't but in my case I've got it installed and running on two different computers.
  12. Mine wasn't freezing, only ocassionally rebooting without warning. Very. This was my experience: http://www.notgoodenough.org/viewtopic.php?t=35138
