  1. only if you prefer to send each disc byitself. If u are prepaired to wait and have it sent all together it is only $9.25 for 15 discs
  2. Oh im sure secretly they would have got a X or XBR instead if opportunities where diffferent. Why wouldnt you? They rest of Australia certainly liked the XBR and the X series the most and Sony has miscalculated and stocks are low to non-existant.
  3. Sorry should of been more specific all the 46'' X and XBR bravias are sold out until stocks arrive mid - till late Feb Yes i can walk in and out and get a W series - i wonder why that is still avail and not the others maybe its cheap and shite?
  4. Yes Nam we know your the greatest with deals but unfortunately you are in Melbourne and not in Perth Us guys in WA get royally screwed all the time with new products and prices. As a matter of interest how much would delivery and insurance be for a 46x3100 to Metroplitain Perth from Melbourne or New South Wales)?
  5. The Very Few retailers who have Bravias in stock are now holding out and dont price match and selling thier units for near RRP price which at $4499 for a 46X is way way too much. I suppose i can look at it and wait and save some money to get a cheap HD-DVD Player to complement the ps3 (so i can get Heroes and Bourne - exclusive HD-DVD titles)
  6. Another 4 weeks is a long wait and ive waited 3 weeks already. im ready to cut my losses pay extra and start watching all these Blu-ray titles ive started to collect already (bladerunner, potc)
  7. if you had the opportunity to pick up a 46x3100 today at a premium would you do it? after a long ring around i was offered a deal of $3960 for a 46x3100 pick up today. i have already paid for mine at JB for $3600 worth thinking about as the tv from JB might not be delivered until late feb!
  8. Theres been alot of buzz about the lack of Supply and having units being made and delivered from Taiwan instead of from Japan. Where was your Bravia made from?, what Date did your recieve it?
  9. How much did you ended up paying from Sony Central - Full RRP? would it be worth paying Full RRP to get it sooner? ie $4449 for a 46X3100 or save $1000 and wait a month!
  10. Received with many many Thanks, Yes the cables are nice and thick an well made. The plug connections are mounded and are very sturdy. Overall you could rebadge it and call it monster cable and it will sell for $100+ with no-one the wiser Great Job HDMIOZ, and tell your supplier to keep up the great work.
  11. Just Ordered 2 x 2m Cables with payment via DD looks like you will be very busy this weekend and next week. Keep up the great work! Are you open to accepting orders from Non DVT members? Can i post your link on some of the other forums? cheers and Happy New Year
  12. was told there was no XBR in stock, there wasnt even one on display. they had 3 "X" models on display and no stock of them either and no the "display" models where not for sale

  14. ive had great success converting .rec straight to DVD using nero vision also good for converting x264 to dvd as well all one program dont need to stuff around!
  15. Hi Has anyone have this problem where the Topfield TF5000PVRt switches off and goes into standby then switches back on again? this happens every couple of minutes and now several times in a minute! i thought it might be the remote sending out false funny signals but it still does it when the remote is off. It switches off whilst recording, watching normal, time shifting and also when watching a previously recorded show. This has been very frustrating as ive only had this machine for week! this was happening before i had ungraded to the new firmware and it is still happening after i have upgraded? any help advice will be appreciated i will get in touch with topfield in the mourning as well? regards
  16. A quick question about Progressbarkeys! i cant seem to find the .ini file from the website I want to be able to change the playback key settings ie the red key to 2min instead of 3min and the yellow key to 1min instead of 30sec Great job andy! regards
  17. i have a Panasonic TX-86PW200A Can anybody recommend a good connection for this this thing can do 1080i/576P i assume this would only be good for a HD decoder! and the scart to RGB cable supplied with the toppy is next to useless? Would i really need to get a proper scart to componet as well as cables as was said elsewhere in ths forum? regards
  18. With money no object i would get the toppy for your free to air tv wait for Fox to get their Pace PVR out and get a cheap DVDR recorder for your old VHS tapes There is no one machine that will do all to any degree of satisfaction The Pioneer - "520H-S, or maybe the Panasonic DMR-E85H" will only record in analog and not much better quality that u would find from your VHS
  19. Quality will not be the same and never will be! U are comparing High Definition to Std Definition!
  20. Good advice Fos Thanks Damn frustrating having a Toppy and not able to use it! So i guess i will have to watch the cricket like the other normal people without Toppys. Cheers guys
  21. only 2 shops open here in WA and in Freo and Perth City so i cant take it back to the original shop. Yes i have powered down in all sorts of ways! Still no luck! Im inclined to bite the bullet and put my spare 250G in myself! and or open it up and plug the connections in properly! which is what i think it might be
  22. Yes the HD does seem to wind up and click away when the unit comes out of standby mode! So i guess i have a faulty hard drive then! Damn i was so hoping to test out the time shifting features on the cricket today! Does anyone know if u can return a unit to any other Harvey Normal Store or do u need to go to the original purchase place! NO Cheer Kev
  23. ive just purchased a new toppy from hardly normals for $890 here in Perth. out of the box the recording menu is highlighted grey so cant be accessed So i cant record anything! only view! also the format hard drive function is grey and also the enable time shifting function is grey as well. all the channels are searched and functions and also the time is current and uptodate! im pulling me hair out! Also does anyone have a sticky remote "OK" button stays press and doesnt release when pressed! Regards Kev
