  1. Black, I'm sorry I forgot to mention that.
  2. Item: JVC DLA-X3 projector Location: Melbourne Price: $800 Item Condition: Unmarked. Front remote receiver doesn't work. Reason for selling: Have upgraded Payment Method: Pickup - Cash Extra Info: about 1100 hours on current globe Pictures: I can't take photos, it looks like every other JVC projector.
  3. How many hours on the globe? How long does it take to get there from Melbourne?
  4. http://pro.jvc.com/pro/pr/2017/ces/CES17_new_eshift4_projectors.html This may have been posted elsewhere.
  5. I'm in Eltham in Melbourne. I have always been able to get the BDs I wanted. My tastes are pretty mainstream.
  6. I rent BDs from the Video Ezy machine in my local Coles arcade, $4 overnight except tues when it is $1. They always have the latest BDs though you might have to wait to get them, BDs are very popular around here. They regularly give you a code for a free rental. Anybody who says they do not see much difference between BD and DVD either needs a new display or updated glasses
  7. I was planning on simply buying one but I thought I would see if somebody had one first.
  8. I know this is long shot but I thought why not. Somebody might have buyers remorse, I don't know what you would upgrade one to.
  9. So if somebody doesn't agree with you they are a troll? All of these sort of things can make a difference up to a point, but that point is usually a lot lower than the golden ears claim. Thin cable sounds like crap, 16 gauge (I think that's what it's called) dick smith cable sounds better so even more expensive cable must sound better again. I can't hear the difference using the more expensive cable but I am not going to admit that.
  10. You are that rarest of contributors to this sort of forum, an honest person who doesn't claim to have super senses.
  11. Intermodular distortion. If you have a deep base note the cone(s) have to move an enormous amount, any higher frequencies reproduced by that driver will require less movement but will be moving back and forward at the rate of the largest movement. Like yourself I have been at this along time and was first introduced to the concept of subs by a JBL technical paper, probably written by Floyd Tool. it made the point that apart from the benefit of optimised placement of the bass unit and reducing the load on the amp driving the main speakers, the biggest advantage was the reduction in intermodular distortion resulting in clearer upper bass and midrange. Also drivers that can produce deep bass are not very good at producing higher frequencies.
  12. Can you send me the address details when you can please. Thanks.
  13. Have I missed something or are you going to give us the address later?
