  1. Hi Guys,

    Apologies for the late replies

I will clarify 100% YES these are Purchased Direct from Sanyo Oceania (In Sydney), Carry a full Australian warranty, are NOT grey imports, in fact, any of the prior purchasers should be able to vouch for the Aussie Warranty card they got in their boxes!

I do not retail on-line, thus not a on-line shop, so if that provides an extra reason.

If Everyone else in the group (if we can get the 5 again, yes is is quantity based hence good pricing, unfortunately no, i tried for a bit more, with no joy last time on 8 units.... this is rock bottom $$) is happy to wait until post 9th June, i will look at redoing this then..

Please note, to date, i have had very few email from interested parties, i have had 2 emails, unfortunately, at this stage, i have only very sporadic access to the forums, so therefore, i dont receive PM's in a timely manner..

If anyone is interested, and has PM'd me recently through the forums, i would appreciate it if they could please email me through the forums rather than PM with their shipping city/ street address for a final quote including freight to their door..

    Cheers,

I will check back on the forums as regularly as possible, but please do try to email me through them where possible, also, if you email me direct, please include your screen name..

    Steve

  2. Hi All,

Sorry for the long time no reply, at this stage, it looks like the magic 5 has been hit.. one dropped out previously which is quite fine..

What i need now if possible is a final shipping address to be EMailed to me via the forum not PM'd and i can get you out a final quote including Freight and all...

    Cheers,

    Steve

  3. Hi Paul,

Same as before $2,400 + courier shipping (Depending on your location) including GST, Tax Invoice, and Australian Warranty..

    Cheers,

    Steve

EDIT: BTW, if anyone is in the transport industry, they may see Mermaids as the worst thing imaginable.. At least thats what i was taught, though i had better not repeat the saying as to why..

Let me just say RTA Weigh Bridges were meant to be known as Mermaids!

  4. Cheers!

Heres hoping all goes well, because if thats the case, it means... "One More"

Hopefully there is at LEAST one other interested person at this point in time..

Last purchase, there where some who where a bit sceptical about buying online off the forums, maybe they would still be interested given the feedback of the last purchasers?

Lets see how we go guys, there are certainly some keen buyers..

    Cheers,

    Steve

PS Once again, at this stage i apologise, from Friday afternoon until Monday evenings, I'm blowing bubbles underwater and am nowhere near a computer!!

  5. deflepper,

if you read back through the thread, on page 3, i stated, Sanyo's RRP is $3000 here in Australia some stores are plainly greedy, and do remember it is Recommended Retail Price not Must sell at this or else..

Regional stores generally pay more in freight and handling than metro counterparts.. not sure if that applies to your own situation

    Cheers,

    Steve

Also, have you added duty, gst, freight and shipping to Australia in that Price, as well as cords for 240V as the Z4 uses PITA Clover Style Connector, not a generic IEC..

I will openly declare i am biased here also

  6. Is it correct this is a change from LCD to DLP?

Are you susceptible to rainbows if so?

Might be worth trying to get a look, i will do some more research a bit later, but its been a long day and i need a beer about now..

Just for the record, your not Grassy from DiveOz are you?

    Cheers,

    Steve

  7. Good to hear they've all arrived safe n sound, i must apologise for the bad speed of road freight to WA, at least they did eventually get there!!

A couple of people has shown interest again (well two at least) if another 3 are prepared to join in, i can make this happen again..

    Cheers,

    Steve

  8. Dont worry, an Oppo has been on my "You really know you need to convince your wife to get one" list for some time too, nope it never ends... i have been waiting to decide on the Rotel HDMI scaler for my processor, but cant justify it yet also..

    Steve

  9. Sanyo has a bad reputation along side its name, how does their projectors rate?

ui05, i have tried to let someone else chime in hear, and let my vested interest be laid down straight up, i sell alot of different brands of PJ's, Sanyo happens to be one..

In my experience, not only their produc,t, but there service is absolutely exemplary!

Please do look at the feedback in my old scoop thread from the people who have just unpacked them..

It was a whilst back now, that i fire sold my demo AE900, to get a Z4 as a demo reference model at this price point..

To DIRECTLY address your question, i have had nothing but support, a willingness to succeed, and a genuine care for the end user from Sanyo..

My .02c, please dismiss it if you see fit, as i said, i am involved with many different PJ brands, and whilst i am being objective from what i have seen. YMMV as well as others..

    Cheers

    Steve

  10. I actually have been slack with the emailing of invoices, they will be out this evening in your inboxes..

    Cheers,

    Steve

PS This brings me to another point (Except those i already know) those who would like the invoice made out to a business name, feel free to email me with it..

    Cheers,

    Steve

  11. I would recommend the Phillips too. Fast change, easy to use very stable great picture. Only drawback is it does'nt have its own volume control...ho hum.

    Chris

Ho Hum indeed, that is what the Processors Job is!!

Any ideas on where to purchase the phiips units?

Any with experience using these on projectors?

    Cheers

    Steve

  12. I guess, by all means, a stable, good value HD STB with either DVI or HDMI outputs is what i am really after.

Objective opinions are appreciated on each of the units, i guess, just trying to sift through all of the historic posts about HD STB's shows alot of varied opinions, guesses without experience, heresay etc..

Buy niggles, i guess i mean moreso Problems ie constant artifacting (pixellation etc) would annoy the crap out of me, i am used to a strong SD box, which has been rock solid reception wise..

I would just like to avoid what seems to be the norm of purchasing 5+ HD Boxes to be happy

    Cheers,

    Steve

EDIT: Maybe its worth Waiting On Reports of the Topfield HD STB Due Shortly

That And i have read good reports of the AUSID STB, but are these even available anywhere Still? And Theyre Only Component

  13. Last mermaids i saw were at Sydney on Chowder Bay Wharf for the big Underwater Walk

Can i also ask if people could please let me know when they have received there PJ's, as it helps to get definitive time frames from the courier..

I was somewhat surprised they were on track and trace already, however, i would be sure they wouldnt have left Port Macquarie until today!

    Cheers,

    Steve

  14. Looking to upgrade the old HD STB, Worthwhile HD PVR's seem a fantasy, and maybe in another few years, so i guess they will be ok, however in the mean time i am after any real experience on a good reliable stable HD Box with HDMI out!

    Cheers,

    Steve

  15. OK Guys,

Another update, i managed to jam the foot in the couriers door this arvo, they have all been sent to the depot here (not sure whether they will show up on track and trace tonight though, more likely tomorrow).

However, in about an hour or two, i will be emailing each of you with the con-note labels used, as i said previously, only one will show up on track and trace.

Having said that, depending on your distances, you should be expecting your PJ's very very soon, i will email out tax invoices as PDF's to everyone, as in the interest of getting them to you, i did not print them, and open the boxes etc, just addresseed them, sealed there edges and got em to the courier!!

On a bad note, my courier has put there prices up as of the 1-5-06, buggers they are, thankfully, i had a couple of left over labels and i didnt actually lose money, such is life, shouldve got the courier to quote in writing..

Anyways, if by tomorrow, you havent received your con-note number(s) in your inbox, please email me!

    Cheers,

    Steve

PS And above all enjoy!!! You will note, i left the Sanyo Oceania Stickers on the boxes..

  16. Next Update From Tropical Paradise 30 meters under the ocean.. (Yep ok, that jokes worn real thin about now!)

Courier has called me to say pallet of PJ's being dropped off at 4pm this afternoon..

    Good News,

    Now, The Bad News,

I wont be able to get them out until tomorrow, as MY couriers cut-off is 3pm however, i have started getting address labels sorted, and should all be out tomorrow..

I will confirm courier tracking details with each of you via email..

Please also note, if you are given 2 or 3 tracking numbers (ie you need multiple labels because of distance etc) Only one will work on track and trace..

    Cheers,

    Steve

  17. Hi Guys, from sunny warm Curacao 28 degrees, 30m vis water 26 degrees....

    Just Kidding,

Sorry, for not getting back to you sooner as for an update, on friday before i left for Newcastle to get the majority way through my dive instructors course, i placed the order with Sanyo.

Paid them the money, and courier depending they should arrive here today..

On there arrival, they will be addresses up and sent out, i will post when they have arrived, and when they have been sent, but Friday, Saturday and Sundays at this stage are bad for me, as i will mostly be under the water, and the only computer i see is stapped to my wrist and doesnt access DBA Forums  .. Stuart actually called when i answered i was on the way from one beach to another at Nelson Bay..

Oh, that and i'd need to sell about 1000 PJ's before i could comfortably move OS :P:P

    Cheers,

    Steve
