  1. Buy with confidence. I bought the Orion’s that Fluid had for sale. The system was delivered yesterday. Impeccably packed in 4 boxes. Inspite of the courier companies best efforts - one of the speakers was delivered upside down in spite of clear labels - everything was in perfect condition. Fluid knows how to pack his speakers securely. The build quality of the speakers / electronics is phenomenal, and was a steal at the asking price. If you’re considering this system, you cant go wrong. super value at half the asking price of other LX521’s that have been on sale. GLWTS
  2. Hi to all the good people in Sydney.. I’m in Sydney till this Thursday 14.2, is there anyone who uses a Denafrips Dac (preferably a Terminator, but any model would do) who would be willing to let me have a listen ? I’ll supply the beers cheers David
  3. Item: Deulund 16GA tinned copper speaker wire - 3.3 metre unterminated speaker cables Location: Adelaide Price: $150 + shipping Item Condition: Mint Reason for selling: Upgrading to a full loom of Allnic ZL-3000 Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, Bank Tranfser Extra Info: Bought in december 2016 from Frederik (Deuland). Cables are about 3.3m long. Natural sounding, good tone, separation and an extended frequency response. These cables are generally used with low power amps and high efficiency speakers, however I used them with a 400w amp and 3 way speakers with good results. Has the potential to be a reference level cable in the right system, and at the price is a no-brainer. I have marked each cable clearly to indicate the direction and polarity that it was used in. There is a lot of info online about these cables. I have included some links below: https://positive-feedback.com/audio-discourse/duelund-coherent-audio-dca16ga-premium-tinned-copper-vintage-tone-cable/ https://theaudiobeatnik.com/my-first-experience-using-duelund-dca16ga-for-speaker-wire-and-belden-8402-for-interconnects/ No issues with shipping as it will fit comfortably in an Auspost satchel. 4. Item: Blue Circle RPD-15 DC Offset blocker. Custom built with 4 US outlets, and hardwired power cord with AU plug Location: Adelaide Price: $400 + postage Item Condition: Mint Reason for selling: Upgrade to a Vibex Granada Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, Bank Transfer Only Extra Info: Bought new from BlueCircle in Oct '17. Custom built with 4 US outlets, and hardwired with 14AWG power cord with AU plug. Disclaimer: Power conditioning can be controversial, my thoughts below are based on my experience in my system, YMMV. I've lived with most forms of power conditioning - the Shunyata Hydra, isolation transformers, balanced power - and actually preferred direct into the wall. Until i tried DC blocking. I was curious after reading Srajan's review on the Vibex Granada, but did not want to commit to a Euro 2000 unit without proof of concept. The RPD-15 seemed like the best of the inexpensive breed out there. The unit was a custom order with 4 outlets so I could plug the entire system into the unit. Gilbert from Blue Circle recommended a fixed power cord, and also suggested making the attached cord as short as possible, so went with his recommendations. The power plug was changed to a non-branded one with red copper prongs, which was an improvement over the earlier nickel plated plug. The RPD 15 - in my system - resulted in a blacker background, with more micro detail, and without any loss in dynamics, a definite improvement over direct into the wall and without the drawbacks. I don't have the original packing, but will pack the unit securely with bubble wrap and a box if required to post. Will include 3 power cords with US plugs, if required. The power cords are from Odyssey Audio, good entry level stuff. Local buyers are welcome to a demo. 7. Item: Auralic Aries Mini + Samsung EVO 500gb SSD + Aries LPSU Location: Adelaide, SA Price: $800 Item Condition: Mint Reason for selling: upgrade Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I have for sale an Aries Mini that has been optimised for use as a digital music server with a 500gb SSD and a Linear PSU. It is a very good source for the price, and in my experience would compare favourably with most digital transports under $2000. I decided to transition from physical media to server based playback about 3 years ago, and spent a lot of time demoing digital transports. It took me almost a year to find a unit that was on par with CD players at the same price point.I have not found a better unit with regards to ease of use, the Lightning app works brilliantly and, coupled with Tidal and Spotify connect, enabled me to transition from physical media to server based playback without a hitch. Adding the linear PSU after a year of use lowered the noise floor and improved the bass, timing and separation. The built in DAC is good in a pinch, but using a seperate DAC is the way to go with this unit. The Mini, PSU and SSD work well as a system, I would suggest they be used as such, however would be willing to sell separately if I don’t find anyone interested in the package together. Aries Mini: Bought new in sep 2016 bought new for $549 (Addictedtoaudio had a special on the white units at the time). Price if sold individually: $350 Comes with a Samsung $850 EVO 500gb SSD pre-installed for an additional $100 Aries Linear PSU: bought in sep 2017 $649 new, Price if sold individually: $400 There are numerous reviews and user feedback available via google, so have not included links to any ones in particular. Happy to ship interstate, as I have all the factory packing. Hit me up for a demo Thanks for reading Pictures:
  8. Hi the amp was sold yesterday to an SNA member. Thanks for all the interest. Cheers
  9. I'm flying to Sydney end of october, would be happy to carry the amp if anyone in Sydney is interested..
  10. thanks for the welcome guys How are you doing Lloyd? Im building a digital source fed 2 channel system. This is my first foray into solid state amplification and multi driver speakers. Started my audio journey 12 years ago, with a single driver - tube push pull combo, and worked my way up to SET's and augmented widebanders. Moving to Oz in 2016 forced me to start with a clean slate. I was pleasantly surprised the first time i heard the NS1000m's at a friends place. They had a transparency and immediacy that I had only experienced with single drivers, with none of the drawbacks in the lower frequencies. I found a mint, single owner pair (drove down to Sydney over a weekend to pick them up), and have been attempting to build a system around them. I started with an old yamaha a1 integrated.. switched to the Odyssey Cyclops integrated. Next step is pre-power separates. Got rid of all my physical media when i shifted base, and am attempting to make non-physical media work. Lived with esoteric separates for 5 years prior, so have my work cut out for me. Starting from scratch after having built up my prior system over 12 years is an interesting experience, as I know what I am looking for, and am able to make better educated guesses wrt my tastes and system synergies. But the beauty of this hobby is that you get to learn something new every day. Adelaide SA mate Adelaide had quite the reputation in the '80's Churches of weevil.. that would make a catchy name for a show. Any takers ?? all said and done, I enjoy living in tiny Adelaide, i love being able to pick up interstate friends from the airport, driving into the city for dinner, and my 15 minute commute to work, which is on the other side of the city thanks for the welcome Zippi
  11. Thanks for the feedback Kym. You're experience with Odyssey gear matches mine, they punch well above their respective price points.. Cheers
  12. Item: Odyssey Audio Cyclops Integrated Amplifier Location: Adelaide, SA Price: $1200 (Includes a $20 donation to SNA) Item Condition: Mint Reason for selling: Upgrading to separates Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Bought new in August 2017. The amp has the Extreme mods package, which includes upgraded caps and resistors. A very tough act to beat at the price. Have bought a source that sounds best with balanced outs, and so want to shift to a balanced amp. I auditioned integrateds up to the $4000 mark, but none could best the Cyclops. Have finally decided to give separates a shot. Specs from the website • Minimalist design, 1 input only • 2 x 110 Watts RMS @ 8 Ohms • 2 Ohm load stable • Class A/AB • 2 - 400,000 Hz frequency range • 60,000µF memory (The Extreme mods increase this to 120,000µF) • 40 amps current delivery • <0.04% THD (not audible) • >500 continuous damping factor • Input impedance 22K ohms • DC offset <1 mV • RCA inputs • High quality Alps potentiometer • 400 VA Plitron transformer (The Extreme mods include an upgraded power transformer) • Sanken Epitaxial Planar Transistors 2SA1216 & 2SC2922 • Anti vibration dual thickness PCB • Power consumption when idle ±30Watts • 4 internal fuses 250V/6.3A, 5x20mm, fast blow • Additional electrical protection fuse Apart from feedback from several owners, the following reviews played a part in me deciding to buy the Cyclops (The Cyclops is essentially the Khartago with a volume control) http://www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/tas-195-odyssey-audio-khartago-stereo-amplifier/ http://www.soundstage.com/revequip/odysseyaudio_khartago.htm Happy to demo Thanks for reading Pictures:
