  1. As I understand it in Oz some 4K Tvs have a native refresh rate of 50 Hz and others are 100 Hz. From some limited examples I have seen there is no price difference. No doubt there are other examples where 100 Hz native is more expensive. When I have have asked retailers what the native refresh rate of the screen is even they admit they struggle to find the information. It is common knowledge that various marketing terms are used e.g. Samsung Motion Rate but it seems the native refresh rates are hard to find for the specific models sold in Oz. What are the reasons why one would want to buy a TV with a native refresh rate of 100 Hz as opposed to 50 Hz? What are the practical considerations?
  2. Item: Paradigm Monitor 7 Floor stand speakers. Made in Canada. As new. Location: Umina Beach Price: $635.00 Item Condition: As new Reason for selling: I don't think using them as rear speakers for my home theatre system does them justice so I want to sell them. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash Extra Info: I have a pair of Paradigm Monitor 7 floor stand speakers in mint condition. Originally they were speakers for my first good stereo system hooked up to Marantz integ amp and CD player. I subsequently bought Def Tech bipolar speakers etc for use as front speakers so the Paradigm's have only been used as rear speakers for my surround sound system for a number of years. I don't think using them as rear speakers does them justice so I want to sell them. These speakers were made in Canada. In recent years they have not been made in Canada. https://www.lifestylestore.com.au/paradigm-monitor-7-floor-standing-speakers.html Pictures:

  4. Thank you for the responses to date. I looked at hifishark - very handy site to get a guide. I also spoke to Len Wallis in Sydney as they handle a lot of second hand gear that they do not represent new so they need to get a feel for what trade in price they should offer etc. If local mkt for used is limited they look at o/s prices - again everything is as a guide. Seems like I got the amp price pretty well - sold it for $15 less than list price. May have just been lucky. I will look at the o/s sites in A$ and come up with something. The Paradigm speakers are "x" pay grades above my Kef speakers. Way better speakers. I really appreciate the feedback.
  5. I intend to list some speakers for sale and I was wondering if there are any avenues for guidance / ideas on setting a fair price. At the end of the day I know it is what people are willing to pay and me to accept. I just sold a Marantz integrate amplifier within a few hours so maybe it was a coincidence that they were looking at the time and I stumbled on setting a fair price or chance etc. I have a pair of KEF Cresta 30 floor stand speakers in as new condition. I bought them for a stereo system in my upstairs living area and they have had little use. I searched the net and cannot find any comparables to help me set the price. https://www.cnet.com/products/kef-cresta-30-speaker/specs/ I also have a pair of Paradigm Monitor 7 floor stand speakers in mint condition.
