  1. Would this work? CD player to 4-way-toslink to 4 avrs? http://www.lindy.com.au/4-way-toslink-digital-optical-audio-splitter
  2. Is there another way to connect a power amp to a AVR that doesn't have pre-outs? I'm using a 5.1 and would like to upgrade speakers rather than the AVR. Cheers.
  3. How does this compare to Netflix? Who do sign up with to download movies/tv shows etc?
  4. Thanks for the link. Hopefully it's exactly what I'm looking for.
  5. I will have sonos to stream music but I still love listening to cds and watch majority of movies on bluray so it basically comes down to being able to listen to cds or watch bluray in any of the 4 zones. 2 lounges, master bedroom and outdoor.
  6. LOL! You got me. We have 3 tv now plus another 3 in the new home and it's just me and the missus.
  7. Appreciate the info. Multi-zone AVR is definitely not what I'm looking for then.
  8. Hi guys, I currently have 2 x 5.1 denon receivers with all 5.1 used. 1 setup is in the master and the other in the lounge. I'll be in a new home by the end of the month and I'm wanting to set up another 2 x 5.1 receivers as I would like to keep what I already have. So my question is, with 4 x 5.1 receivers in separate rooms, how would I go about connecting 1 cd and 1 bluray player to all 4 receivers so I'm using 1 common source for each room or would a multiroom receiver with separate zone capability be a better option? The cost for an extra 2 x 5.1 receiver is far cheaper in comparison to a multiroom receiver so I am leaning towards the cheaper option at the moment. Cheers.

Hi guys. Moving into a new home by the end of the month and I'm hoping to setup multiple room sound system. I'm very much a noob so I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can on here. Cheers.
  10. I have a 5.2ch Denon receiver i'd like to keep for 5.2 surround but want to upgrade the 2 main speakers in the near future. Is it possible to connect a power amp to the receiver? It doesn't have any preouts either then the 2 sub preouts. Thanks.
  11. Hey, looking at buying hi-end second-hand speakers from the u.s, would i be able to connect these speakers to Australian hifi equipment - amp/receiver without any issues? I'm aware of the voltage difference, would it affect speakers? Thanks.
  12. Looking at smarting wiring with a standard home automation set-up of security, intercom, lights, air-con, paid tv, telephone & internet to a closet size control hub centre hidden away from the living areas for our new home build. I'm now contemplating adding all audio and possibly HT as well. The missus would love to have all the audio equipment hidden away but i feel i won't get full control of all av equipment through an ipad/controller. There's also the inconvenience of location and extra costs for longer wiring. What are your thoughts and experiences? Thanks.
