Crossovers are minimalist first order, one capacitor 3.3uf on the tweeter and an inductor 3.3mH on the woofers.
Three-way binding posts. Impedance 4 ohms with woofers wired in parallel - could be raised by rewiring them in series, fairly easy to do.

Item Condition: good, see notesShipping Options: Pickup available and you can audition.Suburb or Town: Baulkham HillsState: NSWPayment Method: EFT, cashReason for selling: decluttering so out they go
Further Information:
I bought the empty boxes and crossovers with a view to repopulate them with appropriate drivers of my choosing. Being a fan of simple first order crossovers I didn’t use the Arcus-designed originals, but voiced these speakers according to my taste, which is for clean full-range sound. I Iike to hear the metallic parts working in percussion, the clear bell-like top notes of a piano, and the deep bass offered by acoustic double bass in the hands of a master like Neils Pederson, Ray Brown or the wonderful Red Mitchell on those albums where he shares the stage with just one other, a guitarist like Joe Pass or Jim Hall.
These cabinets are more complex than they might appear. The bass is enhanced by a folded transmission line design ending in a slotted port. The midrange has its own tubular internal enclosure. The tweeter is supplemented by a ribbon, which in my version acts as a super tweeter with just a 1uf cap. I note that on the Fine Arts Only website they say that when looking at secondhand units for sale the original ribbons and tweeters are often not working!
So what have I used in these ones? The all-important 10” bass drivers are by Peerless, the midrange are Infinity, while the soft dome tweeter is by SEAS - and the no-name ribbons are ex ebay, fine for the job, and not those original accident prone ones. The original crossovers will come as part of the package, as well as grilles which have seen better days. Still useful at times to keep little kids at bay – but the speakers will always look more impressive without grilles. Yes, they are a bit dusty, but nothing terrible. Asking price is below the cost of drivers, cabinets etc.
Dimensions approx.: Height 110cm, width 31cm top, 38cm bottom. Depth same. Binding posts are single, not biwirable, but the sound is full range as is.
I’ve been running them off a Denon DRA-700AE receiver, which is rated at 80w into 8 ohms. They aren’t quite as good as my number one speakers - the Alon V - but nor are they as expensive!
I’ve included an extra publicity photo that show the Fine Arts family as it was, and one with a diagram of the internal structure.
(P.S. I had a listen to some Jamo Concert VII the other day that sold for a similar price - these repopulated speakers sound much better.)

See Photos - the box is the worse for wear, but the speakers are unused. I have never got around to installing them.
Could be handy in either stereo or HT applications.

Further Information:
The Fusion Three home theatre speaker system was designed by Ralph Waters of Richter fame, with an inbuilt amplifier for the three subs by Graham Dinning. The set retailed at about $7k back in the late 1990s.
The front Right (main), Centre and Left (slave) all have 8" subs inbuilt. The Main speaker has the sub amplifier inbuilt to run the three subs.
I bought this set years ago and had the mains filter caps done as it was making that foghorn sound. Worked very well in my home theatre for years, sort of a poor man's Krix in terms of impact.
I did offer them for sale a couple of times without success. Too big?
Sad story: the amplifier has now gone silent, and I'm not inclined to pursue what the fault at this time as I have been building my own speakers and am thinking about going for something smaller anyway.
I have the manufacturers copious circuit diagrams, and a competent tech will be able to get the amp going again.
What you get: Five speakers, front and back pairs are floor standing, centre is a large one. Drivers are mostly Audax. High quality cabling to the front three is included, with Neutrik plugs. Rears can be run on any cable that suits your room size as they run directly from the AV receiver that you are using.
Graham Dinning's circuit diagrams will be offered to the buyer. So that's basically five nice Audax speakers and three inbuilt 8" sub drivers for $550 - and it can be run right now without further fiddling simply by running a powered sub off the receiver - the five Audax two-way speakers will run as is without the inbuilt sub amp being touched.
I can demonstrate them here as things stand, to show that they work just fine. But this offer will have to be modified as and when I slot in my own speakers to the home theatre setup.
After that I might be able to bring them to you, depends where you are - if too far away might be at extra cost.
Freight is fraught! I'd need large boxes for that, and freight costs are uppish these days.

I modified these to improve the sound. They have a reputation as boomy bass and second rate, but I changed the crossovers, removing the "designed by accountants" original ones and making a nice first order crossover with better quality inductors and capacitors. Not bass boomy any more, good clean sound through the range.
One tweeter was gonski, so I replaced it with a better one from the Concert series. This means the tweeters are different to one another but it isn't audible to me, so for the price these are great value speakers.

The Velodyne CHT-8QR doesn't have a functional amplifier, and new amps cost way too much, so I re-routed the woofer to some added terminals on the back.
The Response speakers are Jaycar ones in piano black gloss and are quite ok. My solution would be to run the Response off the A output on your amp, and the Velodyne on one of the B outputs.
I haven't added an inductor to it, but that would be easy enough to do. Probably no need. As it stands this is a nice looking and sounding sat/sub set, cheap! All the grilles are in good condition.

Further Information: These are highly regarded tweeters, both seem to be working, but have some foam deterioration around the perimeter of the domes.
I'm including two foam replacements bought off Ebay, but thought it best to leave any further work to the buyer.

This pair of Emit 50 tweeters has one working and one not - possibly a connection issue, don't know.
These were made by Infinity for Heybrook UK, so look different to their own items.

Highly regarded and not often available, the Coral Flat Ten speaker driver is regarded as at least as good as the alleged more upmarket Beta version.
The Coral MHD-55 tweeters are similarly superb and hard to get.
I have built these into a very heavy sealed cabinet using a 25mm Merbau front baffle and 18mm plywood sides. The tops and plinths are also 25mm timber.
At rear is MDF and three-way binding posts. There were some dirty marks on the woofers, which my artistic wife carefully painted over - no impact on sound quality.
One of the most musical speakers I have owned, on a par with my Focals which cost several thousand.
Freight is possible but I have no cartons and in any event has to be at cost and risk of buyer. Speakers are way too easy to damage given the carelessness of couriers.
I am at present listening to them on a 50w x 2 amp of no hifi pretensions (I have way too many speakers, and while I have more capable amplifiers they have other speakers connected most of the time) coupled with a Velodyne CHT-10 subwoofer to do the frequencies below 60Hz, and they are sounding magnificent.

I always need to sell off product to make room for new builds and purchase materials. The result is that you can pick up nice sounding speakers for pretty much the cost of drivers and MDF!
It's a hobby, not a business, and I have a few more designs I want to build.
This pair are not huge and shouldn't scare the wife. They use two Peerless mid-woofers and a Tonagen (branded Krix) tweeter.
They are accurate and have a reasonable amount of bass response, sealed cabinets, and are about 85x20x24cm.

Brilliant small speakers, but I've had them sitting around unused for too long and my decluttering must continue.
Specs are in photos. Add a subwoofer for a very classy full range speaker system.
Original boxes plus owner's manuals.

I used to sell these many years ago - they still sound great, a full-bodied sound with plenty of everything. Like a good steak and red wine.
This pair are in timber-look vinyl, and have a few minor bits of damage but nothing to spoil the look. I made up a pair of four-column stands with rubber pads, not spikes.
There are grilles which are not too bad except no badges at this stage. If I come across some (and I've asked Ralph Waters if he still has any) I'll send them on to the buyer.
They look better without grilles anyway.

For anyone interested in purchasing these speakers be sure to check the physical condition of the driver cone material on inspection before purchase as most of the dust caps look pushed in likely as a result from a toddler with inquisitive fingers in the past.
Can you provide more detail on this? The photo doesn't support it as far as I can see. And in any event, some depression of dust caps is (i) usually easily reversed, and (ii) usually has little effect on midrange or woofer driver performance. I know the seller, and he had no toddlers last time I saw him.
Unless you have real concerns, pouring cold water on another member's sale is frowned upon.
NHT Super Zero, white, with 8" Powered subwoofer

Further Information:
I have too many speakers! This combo has recently been running in the same room as my Alon V and my Focal Electra 905, and they are not disgraced by top-line company.
The NHT Super Zero have finesse, while the 8" powered sub is a sleeper! Made in China for DSE (Dick Smith Electronics) it is properly built and delivers the goods. I have a fair bit of experience at integrating subwoofers with stereo speakers, and can give you the settings I have been using for these ones. I have resprayed the sub to match the NHT. It's not pristine, but works a treat.
