  1. Further Information: I purchased second hand from here and have used it to power a raspberry pi. Comes with adapters pictured. Works as expected. No packaging sorry. Will wrap in some bubble wrap and put post bag. If picking up I will subtract postage costs.
  2. Does anyone know if the A8 can output BOTH rca and XLR at the same time? I’m thinking for subwoofer integration.
  3. Interesting way forward from PMC to add a new life to your existing 25 or 25i series speakers. Modular active add on to make your passives now powered. Will be interesting to see pricing. https://pmc-speakers.com/home-audio/upgrades/twenty5i-active-upgrade?fbclid=IwAR3Z4wskIUQY0hJ1QNZ2l0DudS8Ct4XltRGaAFvpXCkwG0BSeDOJkENnX8w_aem_AdqmGS53k2y91_Oitq-zZsBam7rNobxTLrYZNs5OsrwfeEhPDYsz0wOsXBqs3aZ0GaQ
  4. Thanks @Snoopy8 . Looks a little fiddly but I might have a play with it.
  5. Looking for an alternative to Volumio to use tidal connect. Not really wanting to pay for the volumio service any more. Does it exist on raspberry Pi?
  6. I just signed up for the trial. Let’s see what it’s all about.
  7. I’ll grab it if it’s free. I’ve sent you a message.
  8. Hi, A question for users. If I wanted to put my turntable on the other side of the room from my stereo, could I buy an additional node (say an older secondhand one), plug the turntable into the analog input and stream it to the main system which also has a node? Note it’s impractical to run cables from where I want it to the stereo.
  9. Yeah, it actually finished the lyrics a quite well. Wrote 3 verses, a bridge and an outro.
  10. I saw a news item flash up on Facebook regarding AI being the end for song writers. I didn’t read it due to likely being click bait, however it gave me an idea when playing with chatgpt. It’s hardly going to be a top chart single, however I do see this useful to writers with writers block to help generate ideas and expand on topics.
  11. Have you somehow created a new profile under the same account? If so you should find an option on the Sony to switch profile. You’re right in thinking it should sync. Mine does no worries.

  14. Hi folks. Prospective buyer question … Does the node have the functionality to high pass on the rca out or digital out (or both)? Looking at sub integration and wouldn’t mind trying a high pass to my mains. It’s not a must. Just curious if it’ll do it.
  15. Well done Wayne. I saw those in the classifieds and thought they were a bit of a bargain. Glad they’re even more than you’d hope for. My PMC’s do the same for me. I have the baby brother of yours (25.21) and someday may look at upsizing to the 25.23 but the sound/look/build quality is probably end game for me too. Before I upsize I’ll prob go for a sub instead. The mids and highs of the 25.21 are just sublime (as are the 25.23)
  16. I in store demoed both 25.21 and 25.21i in same session. Honestly couldn’t say the “i” sounded better just VERY slightly different. The 25.21 were new out of the box and 25.21i were probably a little run in. it was so subtle I can’t even remember the difference between the two. I ended up getting the older 25.21 at run out pricing. Maybe a longer session would’ve defined the differences better. But the short session confirmed I didn’t need the “i” model given the price difference. The amp was a Yamaha AS1200 I think.
  17. Looks great. What was your paint process/products?
  18. Hi Denafrips owners. As a potential purchaser, can anyone confirm if the ares will work with an iPhone or iPad plugged into the usb input via lightning connector? Im thinking of running Apple Music wired this way (and as a backup using the optical input from my Apple TV for airplay). If the usb input won’t accept iOS devices I’ll be a no go for me. Cheers Paul.

  20. Yes that’s it. I think it works quite well. Earlier when my gripe was signing into each tv service, you only need to do that once ever. It’s been quite bulletproof, and is currently my sole source of tv at the moment. For $100 it’s worth a try. I’ve seen people selling them for $80 on Facebook so resale is quite good if it doesn’t suit after a trial.
  21. Just checked on google tv, 2,7,9and 10 all have live tv streaming including all their offshoot channels. SBS is catchup only (I think)
  22. I’m currently doing this while trialling flipping my lounge room around (haven’t run aerial cable to other side of room yet). I’m doing it with a google tv dongle. It works quite well. The setup is a little painful because you have to download all the apps (abc, SBS, 7, 9, 10) and individually sign into each with your account. Each of the apps have “catch up” tv and also stream live tv option. I use a TV guide app to see what’s on then load up the appropriate channel. I find google tv quite good for access to all your streaming services incl fta (Stan, Netflix, Disney are what I run at the moment ). I have quite fast Internet (350mbps) and have no buffering issues. But don’t know how it would go with lower speed Internet.
  23. Lifestyle store has a clearance list with a P3 on it. I’d give them a call. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vRT_UYhkigdeRJGCLVS-aH1Mzkp6kVrsqy2kuNUBmHkaZKuUpUmW611Is7qWwebG6YZ3-bbzurtBFtN/pubhtml The list is hard to find on their website. Above is the link.
