No payment as yet, so this PS Audio DAC/Pre-amp/Bridge unit is still available. Moving forward, here are a few factors to consider, when comparing the PS Audio DSD and the PWD: 1. The DirectStream DAC (DSD) is actually a later/upgraded edition of the PerfectWave DAC (PWD) 2. They both reside in the same or very similar PS Audio "box" 3. The PerfectWave for sale here can be upgraded to a DirectStream 4. The PerfectWave Mk2 DAC is pretty damn good and exceptional value for just $2k or thereabouts 5. Further information: Can be upgraded to a DirectStream edition Photos: I acquired this PWD fairly recently, privately in WA, as a Mark 1 version and have since upgraded it to a Mark 2. I am guessing that anyone interested in this unit will already know all about the PS Audio PerfectWave DAC. In any event, plenty of info available on line. This unit can also be used as a Pre-amp. Since upgrading, I have had it working flawlessly through the Bridge Mark 1, via ethernet, streaming from my Mini Mac server, using JRiver app. I was very happy with the result and am

Further information: Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved. I have simplified my main system and less pieces require less interconnects. These cables are a few years and provide excellent value for money, compared to latest models and prices. Asking price includes express postage if shipping is required.

Further information: Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved. Purchased new in 2018 to experiment with. Comes with power supply and standard toslink cable This DAC works well for price and does what it is supposed to, however now no longer required because I have a far more expensive DAC in play. https://addictedtoaudio.com.au/products/schiit-audio-modi-multibit-digital-to-analog-converter Asking price will cover express postage if shipping is required.

Further information: Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved. Purchased new, quite recently, from Addicted to Audio in Perth, as an interim measure. https://addictedtoaudio.com.au/collections/cables/products/cardas-parsec-digital-cable?variant=16063974979 Performs well at the price point, however I have since acquired a Transparent Audio Premium, which is like six times the RRP values Prepared to include express postage in the asking price.

Hi Snook, I don't have any personal experience with what you are asking, however I have just cut and paste this from the PS Audio website: The PWD and DirectStream DACs were designed to work either into a preamplifier or directly into a power amplifier. Using our PerfectWave DACs directly into the power amplifier is, for the most part, the best choice for sound quality because it bypasses the preamplifier’s added stage. One less stage to go through always gives you better sound quality. There are circumstances where a preamplifier may be preferred for either sound qual
