  1. Hi bigkid, This recently fooled me. If you read the manual its says a minimum of 150mm clearance to the TOP and sides. There is no minimum clearance to the underside of the PJ. Since the Peerless mounts to the underside of the PJ you can go as close as you want. I went as far as purchasing the 3 inch drop down to make sure I was over the 150mm. I was reflex ducking under it when I walked near it. 😂 After seeing many other peoples installs being so close to the ceiling I went back and read the manual again before it clicked!
  2. Item: Pioneer SC-LX87 9.2 Channel AV Receiver Location: Sunbury, VIC Price: $1000 Item Condition: As new. Reason for selling: Bought newer model for Dolby Atmos. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Top of the range Pioneer receiver from 2014. Plenty of power! Only reason for sale is I purchased a newer model for Dolby Atmos. See link below for full rundown of features. RRP when new was $4000. I am not 100% sure what it is worth and have priced it in accordance with what others are selling similar items for. It is in immaculate as new condition and comes with all original accessories. Unfortunately the original box is not included. Pickup preferred from Sunbury, however I am willing to meet somewhere to save the buyer travel time. As I do not have the original packaging I would prefer not to ship but will if necessary at the buyers expense. It is a big heavy beast so it will not be cheap. https://www.pioneer-audiovisual.eu/de/produkte/sc-lx87 Pictures:
  3. Hi Betty, Sorry to Hijack your thread but may I ask what mount you are using? I just picked up a runout x9900 as I couldn't extend the budget to the new N models. They look the goods! GLWS.
  4. Thank you for the reply! The cabinet and speaker was originally over to the right. I moved it all when I installed the atmos speakers to have it all lined up haha. I think this is a good course of action though. I was concerned about not trying to fit as big a possible screen in the area due to not wanting to disturb my uniformity OCD!
  5. Hi All, I have of recent been digging through the awesome info within these forums. I was originally looking at replacing my 7 year old 65" LED TV with a new 77" OLED. From the information found (TV vs PJ etc) I think I am going to buy my first PJ. A run out JVC X9900. The room will be less than ideal for a full HT setup as it is also used as a lounge room (see below for dimensions). Not aloud to paint but might get away with some fabric in places if anyone has ant recommendations? I will leave the 65" for daytime viewing and just use the PJ for movies or night time viewing. The real question I needed to clarify was where and what size screen to buy (located in Melb, Victoria)? how much should I be spending on a screen? It will obviously have to be a motorised drop down to go in front of the TV. I am thinking a 100" 16:9 screen is the biggest I can get with the 2300 W x 1550 H area I have to play with? Some pictures for reference below.
  6. hahaha too late! I am about 4 amplifiers, 3 sets of speakers and 4 different subs deep.
  7. Thanks for the interest guys. At the moment they are spoken for. If anything changes I will let you know.

Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Top of the range Pioneer receiver from 2014. Plenty of power although this receiver has always been supplemented by Emotiva power amplifiers so has never really been pushed. Only reason for sale is I purchased a newer model for Dolby Atmos. RRP when new was $4000. I am not 100% sure what it is worth and have priced it in accordance with what others are selling similar items for. 10. I learned early on after buying the first few items that it was going to be a very time and fund consuming hobby! This forum has been an amazing wealth of information as well and only contributed to the never ending part. 😂
