  1. The last time I bought vinyl in Japan was in 1979 when stationed there. I know Tower Records still have stores there but the best way is Google them with your phone. Have fun, Cheers Richard. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  2. I am planing to upgrading my TT from a Thorens 320 with a Ortofon 2m Black cartridge. The two tables that I am look at are a Nottingham hyperspace with a SME VI iv tonearm set up by Brian at The Analog Room in San Jose Ca. The other turntable is a VPI Signature Classic 3 also set up by a VPI dealer. Both are a used display models. For now I will use the Ortofon 2m Black cart.. Eventuality I will find a mc phono preamp and cartridge that will match the turntable I pick. I have a good medium base system that the turntable with be a noticeable improvement. I do have an extensive audiophile grade vinyl collection that is continuously improving. I usually put my favorite lps on 10.5" R2R or cassettes so that I can preserve my lps, but I love to listen to my vinyl. At the moment I am leaning towards the Nottingham because of the SME tonearm. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  3. I am glad I bought Ortofon 2m black. Right now I am working on getting system preamp back to spec. I have a Pioneer Spec 1 but the phone output is not correct. It should handle the 2m black with a 5 mv output but it doesn't. I had to add a temporary Rega phono preamp to get the output up. The 2m is a good set up with my stock Thorens.
