  1. Yes, but I doubt the mesh system would work in my shed. For a start it has to travel through an interior wall, then a brick wall at the house, then 40 odd meters to the shed, then through a colourbond steel wall and a sheet of sarking, before it reaches the devices in the shed. The reason I do get sporadic wifi from my newer WAP in the house, is that it lines up with the glass doors at the back of the house, and the glass doors in the shed. When I built my shed in Sep 2006, CAT 5E was available (since 2001), so that's what I used.. It actually replaced my original RG58/U Thin Ethernet cable network I had setup for my old shed.. https://www.flukenetworks.com/blog/cabling-chronicles/ethernet-cable-history
  2. What about out to a shed 40M away, is in the OP's situation? Edit: Cat 3 - 16 Megabits per second data transfer bandwidth Cat 5E - 1 Gigabits per second data transfer bandwidth
  3. Can you explain why 6mm² wire will be "too thick for good transmission", in the case of speaker cables?
  4. I did, ages ago, with very poor results, due to it being a colourbond shed, and brick house about 40M apart. But since then I added a WAP in my lounge room, and this morning I wondered why my laptop in the shed had constant drop outs. Then realised that it was connected to the WAP in the lounge room, and not the one in the shed... But it was still better than when I first tried it.. Cable is the go.. ;-)
  5. I reckon you'll be fine with CAT6 cable. I use CAT5E for a similar distance to my shed, and have no problem streaming music or videos.

  7. And I was just pointing out why it's rubbish..
  8. I'd also be careful if touching with bare hands. Probably more risk if you have broken skin and sweaty hands.. But apart from that, not normally a problem unless reduced to airborne particle size..
  9. Maybe they should be sticking some leaf on the CD then... LOL, do you really think it is possible that the listeners perception can be altered by sticking a tiny bit of reflective tape to the CD? For a start, the listener can't see the tape (so the optical effects are rubbish), and there is nothing the tape can change audibly.. Apart from maybe a whistle, if the tape isn't stuck down fully.. This stuff really does my head in sometimes.. well not so much that someone is trying to convince people of the benefits, but that people get sucked in..
  10. So if you apply it to the label side of a CD, you will risk damaging the CD if you try removing it.. Pretty sure you'll hear a difference if you do..
  11. The output audio signal compared to treated VS untreated, will show you anything that is of consequence... It ain't magic....
  12. Next years Christmas present for someones missus????
  13. You might want to edit your "Payment Methods", but if what you have is accurate, I'll give you a cask for them... Red or White?
  14. Not necessarily madness, maybe he just doesn't like going on holidays with his missus.. LOL. I could have used that excuse when my missus asked if I wanted to go on a cruise with her and four other members of her family. Instead I had to make do with. "No thanks, I couldn't think of any more excruciating"
  15. More of an American Pale Ale than an India Pale Ale, but they do make an IPA too.. https://bellsbeachbrewing.com.au/products/possos-ipa I've tried the Addis Pale Ale, but not the Posso's IPA. Wasn't fussed on the Addis though, I much prefer 4 Pines Pale Ale, or Sierra Nevada American Pale Ale, as a summer drink. I keep the IPAs for cooler weather.
  16. I think you mean Galvorn by Dexmat https://dexmat.com/why-galvorn/ grab yourself a sample Galvorn CNT Fiber - 40 μm, 1m @$80.00 (US I imagine)
  17. So, tell us about the positive affects.. After all, there is no point using the fluff unless there is a benefit.
  18. ******Disclaimer******** I'm currently testing my new purchase of an Ice Maker, with the addition of Jameson Black Barrel... So my replies may not always be scientifically focused... I'll do a review on the afternoon's results, but maybe not today... Working well so far, but wouldn't guarantee the results would be the same with two drinkers. I imagine that would be in the Analog sector???

  20. Yeah, number 2) I wouldn't even bother about.. The rest are harmless enough.. But you didn't say if any of them made any difference to your listening experience. Edit: With number two, cutting through the surface etc.. Presumably it was the resin side, not the label side.. And, most importantly, it was across the read tack, not in line with it...
