  1. After much reading elsewhere, I just purchased the WXC-50, it should arrive early next week, so I'll update this thread then of my impressions regarding its suitability. I hope you like your X14A's as much as I do, they are all I hoped they would be and more, they suit what I wanted perfectly. In the time being they are being played with a 2017 MacBook Pro Touchbar, which actually doesn't sound too bad, though I am expecting (hoping) the Yamaha to be markedly better.
  2. Hi everyone, does anyone have experience with the Yamaha WXC-50 at all? It seems to fit the bill as a preamp and/DAC/streamer for my system with a pair of Dynaudio Excite X14A, but I'm not sure whether it will be of similar quality to be doing the Dynaudio's justice. Please share experiences and opinions. Thanks in advance.

  4. Hi all, I recently purchased a pair of Dynaudio Excite X14A's in Rosewood to downsize my system that included a pair of passive Dynaudio Excite X12. I have gone digital and sold everything from my old system aside from my SVS subwoofer that I am using in conjunction with the X14A's, though to be honest they don't really need it in many scenarios. Anyway, I have a 2017 MacBook Pro that I will be using as my source/transport depending on the solution that I/you guys come up with, I have FLAC files etc on the MacBook and am currently using the headphone output for the speakers, however this isn't a long term solution, whenever I take the laptop someplace I have to unplug the speakers which means having to turn them off to ensure I don't damage them, they have an auto standby function, however I do not want to rely on this. They are also being run through the subwoofers line in and out so that all the speakers get the signal. I am looking at some sort of pre amp, preferably with a DAC, to connect the X14A's and the subwoofer (if I so choose to use it) that has a power switch at the front, looking for options preferably less than $1000, whether second hand or new is not a concern. Would much prefer something that has a physical volume, this is for a desktop system. Hopefully my description wasn't too convoluted. Thanks in advance guys.
  5. Just a Samsung Galaxy S7 with some good choices about lighting etc.
  6. That's very unfortunate regarding your father's Rolex [emoji17] Thanks very much, I hope it finds a good home too.
  7. Please delete.

Very nice car, I've always loved S15's, particularly this colour with stock bodies, aside from the factory wing. I used to own an Aerotop Mk4 Supra, another great car from that era. Anyway GLWS, looks well loved and genuine k's.
  8. Item: 1965 Omega Seamaster 600 135.011 601 calibre watch Location: Townsville, QLD, Australia Price: $900 including express post. Item Condition: Used Reason for selling: Slimming down collection, see description Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: The Seamaster was fully serviced in 2014 by a watchmaker in Melbourne, evidenced by the marking in the caseback. It keeps good time and is in excellent condition for its age, see photos for description of physical condition. The watch is all original per the Omega markings in the appropriate places throughout the watch and is very rare to see in the Red Cross on white dial configuration. Sale includes the pictured alligator watch band which is an aftermarket piece. I have not polished the case so as to not detract originality and to provide the buyer the option of doing so or not at their discretion. Selling as I recently inherited a 1969 Omega Speedmaster Professional from my late father, and so will be wearing this watch as my new daily indefinitely at this point. As such slimming down my collection as I have too many watches. At $900 I will include express postage and insurance throughout Australia. Pictures:
